6x4 Serial Key Problems (primarily from German re-sellers)

I just bought warband on steam and i got a 6x4 key aswell. everytime i go to join a multiplayer game and type in my serial key it says "invalid serial key" someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!@!@#111!#!$&!&!&**** :twisted: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: ive tried everything!!!!!!!!!
