Some other guy used a bullshit diagram of a bullshit katana with some bullshit description to prove why a katana cuts better in a different thread but he got corrected by someone else too. It was some daft trapezoid-ish shape with concave sides or something.

What is this sharpness worshipping thing? A piece of paper can be as sharp as a scalpel. That doesn't make it a good weapon.
