Connection to server was lost HELP!!!
ThePHOXman:
I heard that this could be a keylogger who stole my serial key. I seriously doubt this is my internet service provider. Is there any way to get my serial key back or get another one or am I shit out of luck?
hirovard:
same problems, in 1 hour today i got disconnected from servers 20+ times.
not my ethenet cable as thats still very new, and i have been using this router with no problems for quite a while. also if it was the router or my internet connection then it would surly affect other games aswell, but its only warband that getting problems.
from what i have noticed it only started when i updated to the latest version of warband, but im not 100% about if the latest version is iffy

So you cover your computer with internet feces and expect someone else to clean it up for you and buy you new things? :(
Hirovard, you said you have been getting disconnected since the last patch? Like the last patch a year ago? Have you installed anything new recently (antivirus or anything)? When did you last run a virus scan? Have you run Spybot S&D?

Wow...... The question still stands.... Throwing condescending statements like that instead of not answering someone's question only makes you look like an ass. I'm not here to be in a argument. Is there the possibility that a KEYLOGGER stole my serial key from the registry? Answer that and nothing else.
Fehnor:
A keylogger could do this if you had a keylogger installed on your system when you entered the serial key for warband. Most people copy/paste, and if you did that, then the program that recorded the data wouldn't be a keylogger (at least, not only a keylogger). My condescending statement still stands, because if you think you have a keylogger and you aren't doing anything about it, giving you another key makes no ******** sense at all.
If you think you have a keylogger, run a god damn virus scan and spybot. If you don't find a keylogger, you don't have to speculate. If you do have a keylogger, ******** get rid of it and then come back.
I hope this condescending post makes me look like a god damned *******. I also hope it makes you scan your computer for this shit before assuming your serial key is stolen by a program you allowed to be installed on your computer.
Edit: Did you have a pirated copy of warband installed before you purchased on steam? Did you give your key to anyone? Did you install your game on a friend's computer (even if they have their own copy of warband)?
