Expecially going through some things of 1776 that you liked so much, and that I let you decide on, like Uniforms for troops, etc ...and some music remember? 

I am changing the Main Title Music, though Auldie....I just found out the whole story for Yankee Doodle and got in love with it!
Some Italian issue is in there and the word Maccaroni spawns in the song:

There are numerous conflicting accounts of the origin of "Yankee Doodle", due to the fact that the song has many versions ("Yankee Doodle's" catchy tune has allowed for seemingly endless adaptation and expansion - an 1887 theater piece jokingly referred to the song having 199 verses). But, this patriotic song has an uncomplimentary history.

The music and words go back to 15th century Holland, as a harvesting song that began, "Yanker dudel doodle down". In England, the tune was used for a nursery rhyme - "Lucy Locket". Later, the song poked fun of Puritan church leader Oliver Cromwell, because "Yankee" was a mispronunciation of the word "English" in the Dutch language, and "doodle" refers to a dumb person. But it was a British surgeon, Richard Schuckburgh, who wrote the words (in 1755) we know today that ridiculed the ragtag colonists fighting in the French and Indian War.

Soon after, the British troops used the song to make fun of the American colonists during the Revolutionary War. Yet it became the American colonists' rallying anthem for that war. At the time the Revolutionary War began, Americans were proud to be called yankees and "Yankee Doodle" became the colonists most stirring anthem of defiance and liberty. During Pre-Revolutionary America when the song "Yankee Doodle" first became popular, the word macaroni in the line that reads "stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni" didn't refer to the pasta. Instead, "Macaroni" was a fancy and overdressed ("dandy") style of Italian clothing widely imitated in England at the time. So by just sticking a feather in his cap and calling himself a "Macaroni", Yankee Doodle was proudly proclaiming himself to be a country bumpkin (an awkward and unsophisticated person), because that was how the English regarded most colonials at that time.

PS ...I had kind Rigadoon making a very special music/sound for it...but for some reason I cannot make it work, after I change it to .ogg, as I usually do...

I never picked the main title. Still not sure what that is. I think Gaston put that one in although I do like it. I can also see Yankee Doodle making more sense. I also see how Maccaroni has such an attraction to you hahahaha!

We put a lot of music into TOTSK and we were having big problems. A lot would not play on cue. I was upset because I found most of it and put it into .ogg for Celestialred. However there was some kind of problem with the cues and triggers. We discovered that it worked better in wav. Not sure why it does but it does. It does increase the size of the music file though. But try to put them in in wav. format Gab. .ogg and wav. are the only two formats you can use but .ogg doesn't seem to work as well. Anyway best of everything. I can't wait to try this new version out when I get some free time to play.

Sorry...but I have to underline the fact that I always put much attention to historical facts and pics, even if some things have still to be fixed, of course.
People like Auldman, Bearskull, Celestialred and Gaston always helped me on that side as well, and I think they are all very historically qualified ! 

Nevertheless, what menu pic are you referring to, please?

I am fixing most important bugs in the gameplay, right now, but I will correct other things if necessary.

I don't recall the loading screen (the one with the charge on Breed's Hill?) To be honest we didn't play a lot of attention to that and I am not sure who actually selected it and loaded it in. Can someone post a screen of it and with a more detailed explanation than "I am a re-enactor?" That's great but we have history degrees and some of us have post-graduate degrees so "re-enactor" doesn't mean a whole lot. Just to be frank and blunt. But at the end of the day instead of carping to Gab about it pick some pictures you like and would prefer and make a strong case about it. Write more than a sentence, give some detail, and a more considered and qualified opinion. But also note that modding is very difficult and believe me, a loading screen, is really small potatoes on the scale of things Gab and his team have to deal with and work on. It really is very minor.

And no I do not disrespect re-enactors. Fine job they do and they are a valuable resource. But just to say that you are one and therefore something is a problem isn't enough to cut it. Please give Gab more information. I can see he would honestly like to see your reasons for your point of view. Gab's good like that. He'll let anyone make their case if they can put forth a real effort to make one.

okay.. it is the atack on breeds hill one, the uniforms are french and indian war period, u can tell this by the coats and the grenadier hats which are not of the C1765 regulations. i understand but most reenactors do alot more research than most historians in uniforms etc. and many museams etc dont like us because we sometimes know more then them. if u decide to do marines dont forget that i can provide pics ,info etc

As I used to say, would I like to speak english as you do (had to see what "carping" means : CAVILLARE, hehehe) 
All true guys, more than welcome to see things pointed  out, and if possible, I will change them.

Honestly....I remember sayng looong time ago, that I love the Wasjington A R paintings...like on the boat, etc...and even better some GB USA and Indians in the scene even (you know me, guys....I always want ppl to remeber the Real Americans, huh?!!  )

But...as my best old mates would admit, I always had the habit to let my helpers to freely choose some of their creations.
So, basically Poomtang organized completely on his own his great troop models uniforms (and never made some Indian models, that so deeply I desired  ), and Gaston freely chose some other things about 1776, and other Mates as well....etc etc....

Now, ther is NO Team and I am remaking the Mod on my own, with some free help to me as Gabrilduro, and not to the Mod 1776 itself, from people that are just proud to belong to the Gabby's Bunch and....well, I will surely change some issues, expecially if they are wrong. 

Auris is doing a great job on some things that are causing problems with Diplomacy, and I just told him that I think I found, through Morgh s, some bad assignments and bugs. 

Also, he was able to make guns shoot WITHOUT bolts coming out from the barrel, and....added Outpost Mod to the game (YESSSS!!!  )


BRAVO will deeply play the last testing version and pretty soon post me an updated and precise list of all the Centers that still have some problems (or even completely missing!  ) and they will be fixed.

I still saw many wrong assignments on the Indians Tribes and Bandits, and will go over them as well.

Eehhh!  ...Real life and short free time are still my worst enemies, and modding on myself is a killing machine...but lately I see that I can still count on new....and OLD supporters!!
