Added Quail's submission and made my first post easier to read and less wall of text, not sure if I should keep each player's style of posting or should make a uniform context that aligns with the first post.

System of Posting/Contributing

I'm trying an experiment with this RP that instead of free posting on a story thread, all posts will go threw me via private messages. I will make edits for the purpose of story continuation and so all posts mesh properly with each other. This will also prevent from the quality from degrading and anything that could kill the story itself or disrupt the flow.

I may respond via PM if I think a contribution isn't appropriate with the current scenario. If you have any complaints of this system, don't hesitate to talk to me about it.

To prevent the system from breaking, the thread will be locked and will only be unlocked for very short periods when I add in your and my own contributions.

you can run out of "ammo" in the form of the battery dying, but if the hellgun battery pack works like a lasgun, you can recharge it by cooking it, yes litterally cooking it with a fire, and this will make the gun unpredictable and there is a possibility of it overloading and blowing off your back skin and maybe your spin

also just to note, hellguns can be fired either semi-automatic or fully-automatic

I will note las-weapons such as the hell-rifle and lasgun are safely but slowly, recharged via sunlight/solar energy.

Well, I can tell you did a few things to mine. (Removed the italics of the servitor speaking, and all that, I also think you missed some punctuation to . No biggie.)

EDIT: I do think a mix, would be the best.

Format ours to your style, and maybe editing the content here and there, but try to keep how they write the same.

I fixed two sentences (added 1 word, fixed another word) and I'm notorious for going in and modifying many times, I usually post then go in and fix posts or add onto them, so if a post is recent, it may be getting changed as you examine it

according to the lexicanum hotshot and hellgun/hellpistol are two different types

You might want to add the name of the character that the post is of, for example lets say I pmed you my post.

Same difference, I have the 3 Imperial Armory about the Death Korps, in 4th edition, Grenadiers had hellguns, now they have hotshots. Still the same model.

And Kasrkin = Stormies, just Cadians ones. Most people just interpret it as the hellgun battery gives the ''hot'' part of the hotshots.

They're the same, one is just another name for the other. At least that's what I recall from the Codices.

    As far as the "why" is concerned, I presume this is to eradicate any chance of players confusing them with other "hell-x" weapons in the Imperial arsenal, and to make it obvious that it's an overpowered las rifle.
    Just like all those fancy Marine weapons now have "Blood", "Wolf" or whatever as a prefix.

They're actually not.

"Hotshot" is a term used to refer to an overcharged Lasgun power pack, which at one point was the thing that Stormtroopers used.
Hellguns are a different breed of weapon, consisting of a heavy backpack supporting a generator and cooling/power regulation components.

For some ridiculous reason, Robin Cruddace brought back the references to "Hotshot Lasguns". You can actually spot where Hellguns were just cut out and replaced with Hotshot Lasguns in the IG Codex on page 46 of the IG Codex under the "Hotshot Lasgun" entry.

Apparently there is quite a debate on what is correct and what isn't, for all purposes of this RP, hotshots and hellguns will be different, hot-shot being modified las using overcharged las ammo while hellguns being modified las using a battery pack
