Ancient History Devoid of Racism

<< < (6/6)

Ule:
well the romans quite happily referrfed to the greeks and persians as tunic lifters, and cowardly easterners (persians) and everyone else who wasnt a roman was a barbarian, although its fun now to be a barbarian, they were basicaly slating all other races/cultures. plus for most thier time, as been said, it was very hard for none romans to be classed as citizens. so yea thats all rasict, as for modern racism, culture divides hate crimes etc, there was often massacares of people, normaly after a roman army had been smashed by people simaliar to those living in the city. so yea rome was very racist, more rome supreminist than rome sepratist.

greece were less racist, from what ive read, but still calling some one a barbarian, becuase they sound like they they just saying "bar bar bar", isnt much disimaliar to use going "wong chong chong" to a chinese man, less violent racism, but still racist.

although in essance were talking about white europeans being racist to other white europeans, but when you think those cultures were very different rather than of skin colour, its like me mocking a frenchie, were both white but im being racist to him.
