1812 - Single Player Remake - Vympel's Beta II (Released)

If i'm not mistaken, the original module by poomtang was supposed to be multiplayer.

However, with the napoleonic dlc, project died. So vympel made a modificated version which allow single player, and poomtang made it official, so now the team will concentrate efforts to make a single player campaign, which is for now, known as the single player remake.

The remake is an improved version of the former release from poomtang. It includes stuff like polished landscape etc if you know what i mean. I believe the old version, poomtang's release, is known as 1812 - 1815 Mod V1. Single player remake is the variant improved by vympel.

Vympel or Poomtang might explain it better if you're still confused.

Yes, it is for now, but lots of improvements have been made, and we have the map of europe ingame, now it's a matter of adding the new scenes, building etc.

I must say however, the module is really nice, formations used by both the player and AI, flag bearers and officers, special troop roster for the AI which prevent mercenary-like armies etc. I was really interested in it even before i started to tweak a few things with uniforms and was given the chance to join the team.

The map is the most important part now, and will give a totally new feel when playing. I don't have it myself so i'm eager to try it ingame too.

Well, I've downloaded this mod (as I was really willing to play it), and the character creation causes that the screen turns to be black. I read that I shouldn't take the nobleman at my start, yet I cannot see any option to switch it down. What choices shall be made to avoid problems?

You should see a character selection screen with all the options into menus, with birth origins at the top left. I'm still downloading the beta II myself right now so i couldn't take a look yet so i will see for myself and try to see what's wrong if it's not working.

WSE = warband script extender i guess ? I believe it's already installed in the module, and used for the formations and such. You don't need to install anything else than the beta II in order to play it.

Steel need more feedback to track down issues, Vympel surely tested it before release so it's supposed to be playable.
