Anyone know how to get the unit: Omen Seeker?

I tried google, but it's not turning up any information on how to get them. They look to be akin to Singalian Temptresses but not sure. Anyone know?

I guess I might add another question: anyone know how to get elite troops like K'juda's Kajahar, etc.? It used to be in previous versions of PoP that you could free any prisoner and make him join your party, but I don't see why they've made it so you can't anymore. Is there a fix for allowing you to do this (perhaps one that requires a bit of code modification)?

Context of this thread: part of my fun comes from collecting elite troops from all across Pendor, and having a mash of everything together. PoP is making it REALLY hard for me to do this now.

There are special units for the top tier lords for each faction
Dshar: Djaha Archers
Ravenstern: Kierguard knights
Sarleon: Marleon heavy cavalry
Fierdsvains: Valdis Huscarl
Empire: Gaurdian Knight

They arent accessible for the player. I think the restriction on top tier units was put in to make early game harder and so the player couldnt luck it out with a spawn and get 200 honour level troops and kill challenge.

I think with omen seekers you have to get seer initiates or something like them and train them up from that level, the three seers is the best place to farm for them.

Not entirely, Marleons Heavy Cavalry and Djaha Archers can be rescued from prisoners.

Omen Seekers are impossible to get in PoP, same as K'judas ravagers. They made it in PoP 3(if i remember right) so you can't recruit level 40+ prisoners. Most likely so it wouldn't be too easy to get a strong army from day 5 And you can't upgrade to them from any units on the map.

And Seer Iniates only upgrade to Seer Favourites and then Doomguides.

Isnt there something like Morgh's editer which lets you spawn whatever units you want?

You can get Omen Seekers with the guildsman easter egg. I got some that way in my previous game.

Is there really? I would love to know. I thought that was only for editing the stats of troops, equipment they use, level, etc., and not the actual save file.

And from what I gather, people have done quite modifications to their troop trees. I think what I'm simply going to do is change the upgrade paths so that you can upgrade troops via battles. What I hate most is having a troop stack that has reached max tier and can't upgrade further. It feels like all the XP that these troops are taking after every battle is being wasted.

Agreed.  It's so annoying though.  I mean, I watch kill notifications, and the kierguard knights are constantly there.  They kill roughly 20% of all enemies in the battle. 

And you can't get them!  I mean, what the heck?  Are they there to just make it more annoying to kill lords?

You can get

- Barclay Conquistadores / Lancers - if you own a castle or town when you get a heartbeat quest sometimes its for a mercenary troop you have the choice to hire, when paying the premium for the barclay company you can get 2-4 conquistadours i think
- Bearclaw Beserkers - when talking to red brotherhood, ask rumours, sometimes they will give them to you for money

One time I got a thing for Bearclaw Berserkers, but I couldn't afford one.  I had just bought a bunch of Noldor gear.  XD   

Bearclaws aren't that great though, they get torn up by archers from a distance, but if they get behind a troop with shields, they'll smash them to pieces.  One bearclaw killed 7 of my Ravenstern Rangers before they got him.  He looked like a human porcupine.

That's not true. Fully upgraded troops don't gain anymore experience. That experience is given to troops that can still ugrade.
