this mod is for v1.143, won't work for 1.152. we have to port it, you have to wait it.

so if it is working there is no reason it is dead. it wasnt working for 1.150, so they fixed the issues in 1.152.

He means because before the patches, updates were once a week or so, now they have died down in number. Regardless, if you're still working on the mod, it means that it isn't dead.
