-Item stats redone, their closer to 0.4 version now
-Short weapons do a little more damage
-Bows are nerfed greatly
-Weakened sword-pistol in melee attacks
-Melee fighting with muskets and pistol is less effective
now that looks reassuring, I'm glad that developers are quite reasonable people

Much better, but not ideal.

It's 0.51 beta version. It's not ideal by definition. If it was ideal already, then there would be nothing else for us to do. :P

I mean balance between WFAS and MM.   :D  It became much pleasant now, although grenades would do better. For example, time-lagged explosion. As in a film WFAS, moment of heroic capture of flag.  :)

I thought of that, but M&B makes it hard with no physics for objects. However, I believe it can be done. Time delayed explosion is already there when you drop the grenade. So all I need to do is play with calculating how grenade would act after some object (or agent) had interfered it's trajectory in the air.

Fine, throwing of grenades will require ability, and  soldiers will get a chance to escape from an explosion. Mainly - to do grenades noticeable. ( sparks, smoke, hissing).

By the way, when we can see misfires?

Never I hope i didn't spend 700 gold on a grenade just to see it not going off. Yes it is historicly accurate but with only one grenade and and such a high cost money wise: it's just irritating if it missfires and people will probebly stop using them if they missfire to often.
I would prefer it if horseman would have some courtesy and would leave people alone when dueling.

I think he was speaking about musket and pistol missfires, which was suggested some time ago. Currently there's no easy way to do this. I'm waiting for some new WSE operations to do that, but it may be impossible to add those operations. However, I can think of a workaround to do that. It won't work perfect and there will probably be some problems with blunderbusses, but still I think it might work well... I'll see what I can do.
