I'm not arguing that finding such a document wouldn't be convincing to your average conspiracy theorist. I'm pointing out that there's no real reason to think that he legally changed his name. Could you provide a source for that document? I've seen Obama's birth certificate from Kenya too, and I think we can both agree that it's bogus.

The first president to refuse wearing an American flag lapel pin?  Damn. He wears that stupid Republican badge all the time but besides that a lapel pin isn't a part of the holy uniform of president anyway and what a crazy thing to make an issue out of anyway.

Besides the lapel pin and other controversies and even if that absurd list was accurate he would still be less disastrous doing his G.W. Bush impersonation for four more years then any of your genuine Republicans. For one thing he hasn't been too active in trying to dismantle every government department responsible for regulations that protect the general public from all of the things that brought the regulations into existence in the first place.

The Republicans want to "get the government off our backs" which should be enough to disqualify them from governing. How they convinced huge groups of people to gleefully sabotage themselves is an amazing marketing feat which might even be unprecedented. Good is bad, bad is good, up is down and so on and so forth. Maybe it IS the fluoride!

If I had an official document on the matter, it would have been in the first post.  What I posted in that first post is a theory I have put together on why Obama was asked for his birth certificate.  It plays nicely into the unfolding events after all. 

I have also seen the Kenyan birth certificate.  Did you see the one with the clearly mistaken government seal or the decent one, also declared false by MSNBC?

I'm asking the source for the document you provided, because I'm pretty sure that it doesn't come from anywhere credible. Again, I'm trying to point out that we have no real reason to think that his name was changed. Why don't I think that document comes from anywhere credible? It also lists "Barry" as an Indonesian citizen and a Muslim. No wonder the only places reporting on it are anti-Obama conspiracy websites. This seems to me a pretty obvious forge, just like the Kenyan birth cirtificates, which were drawn up after the whole thing got started.

So, I'll ask again, where did you find this document?

I posted from whatever popped up first when I put it into google on my phone.  Did I check credentials?, no.  Just one possible theory on why an individual could be swayed into an opinion.

Since you don't care, you probably didn't read in the post it mentions that this isn't from a credible source.
There are two places it is up there that aren't from personal blogs.  google image search. 

Also the reason I am of the opinion his name changed is because he was in the book Dreams of My Father by Obama.  He states he was adopted by his stepfather.  It does not explicitly state in the book he changed his name, but as his mother adopted the last name, I assume he did as well. 

So to the only reason I mentioned anything about name changing and such.  Obama was asked to show his because of a media percieved questionablity.  That was the point, a document was then provided to show why people consider such claims.  My reason stems from the book mentioned above and how I interpreted events after. 

Edit:  After reading your post initially Magorian, I thought it was a personal attack.  After rereading it, I was simply being oversensitive and getting caught up with my arguments.  I have pdf of the book on my home computer which I can send to you if you would like to read it and don't already have it.
