Hello everyone,

First of all, I'd like to thanks Shredzorz for this awesome mod.  It's in Alpha phase, it's a buggy but normal.  However, it's very promising.  As stated in a post from a thread, this mod is very dependant on it's community.  For me, it's not much of a big deal.  There's trolls/kids everywhere, but I'd like to make a hand-picked group of hardcore roleplayers for this mod.  (Just like Domhnall mac Raghnaill did with PW by creating a Hardcore roleplaying server, required players application to handle the password to join the server) Problem solve.

I have a few suggestions, maybe some of them have already been mentioned in the past by other players, but if it can help Shredzor and his 'team' to add a few more features, it will be appreciate and much better.


1. Character creation : Native American (M), Native American (F), Europeen (M), Europeen (F), American (M), American (F).  I know it's possible to add more 'genders option'.  I have seen it in the M&B: WFAS mod (Not the expansion)
- It's more for a roleplaying purpose, and it also give the player the choice to roleplay a different eithnicity/culture group.

2.  Clothes: We need more clothes. Such has ragged and dirty stuff. If we're going to chop wood/mine ore, etc.... I'd be wearing a shirt... Also, if we can make some Native american clothes from the leather, it would be great.   Also, we need female cloths...

3. Stats: Tell me if I am not aware, but I don't see the use of 'Intelligence & Charisma' If they had any use, I'd put it this way... If you had intelligence, you gain an extra point in your skills (Like Native SP), and I'd put a +1 to trade every 3 pts in Charisma.  I don't know the use of trade either, but it could give the player a certain amount of money over time, increasing by the trade value.  Ex: 3 CHA 6(+1) Trading = 250 dollars/10 minutes of gameplay.

4. Persistant characters? I don't like the re-roll system, and the need to 'die' to change your skills.  It would be nice if we had the possibilites for a character data stored by the host.  (If it's even possible, but I've seen mods with persistant characters) That way, everyone start level 1.  (No random skills points/re-roll), and every players gain an amount of XP/hour.  So every 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 the server is set to give a certain amount of XP to all the players online.  (If you logged like at 1:59, you are not eligible for the XP, it would require a 30 minutes of gameplay at least, sounds reasonable?) Also, crafting/building would give a small amount of XP, your work can't go unrewarded.... It would be much more interesting, and realistic to developp your character than dying and become a new man!  ( I know it sound complicated... I have no experience in coding, and such, but basic knoweldge, but I've seen this feature in another game that is fully scriptable, maybe those codes could be similar... )

5. Furnitures.  ( All those stuff that we can see in warband that decorate taverns, home, and such, it would be nice to have them implented in Wild Wind.  I built a nice house today, but I had nothing to decore it. )

6. Emotes? ( If we could enter some other commands in chat by /"commands" it would be great. Not only for emotes, but other stuff that would involve roleplay.  SRP have some nice exemple, and we know that it's possible.)

I will keep this thread updated if I have more ideas coming to my mind.  It's a very promising mod, if we had some details, and the heart of our Shredzorz back into it !

Edit: It would be nice to state the reason of why you voted.  This way, we can avoid trolls pollers.

1. You can do all that with Warband's character creation; there's no need for something like that in the mod.

2. Yeah, true. But I'm the only person working on the mod, which means that pretty much only one thing can be worked on a time, and it's not really the most important thing right now.

3. A lot of the skills and attributes are just placeholders right now. I'll find a place for them eventually, and I'll probably also delete some.

4. I simply don't know how to do that. Also, I'm not even entirely sure I would want to if I did know how.

5. Yeah. But again, not a particularly high priority.

6. Emotes were actually going to be in one of the earliest versions of the mod, but I suck at animating and didn't feel like pursuing the idea anymore. Maybe in v0.18.

7. Stating a reason for polling is a pretty good idea. I don't know if it's possible to make it so you can type in the reason when starting a poll, but it should be pretty easy to make a few pre-written options you can select from.

The options in admin "Remove props" from the selected player doesn't work.  Also, it would be nice to allow admin to gain access to every props (even if players aren't on anymore) or allow them to select some props.  I hate when I log back on my server and there's a 'stairsway of planks to the heaven'.

Could you remove the random re-roll from stats and just give us more points to spend? I hate clicking the re-roll button until I get acceptable stats.

Definately! It's even in one of my suggestions.  We should have more points to spend... Also, the fact of 'spawning'/dying to remake your characters is just stupid.  What's the point of a survival mod if it's not to not die and....survive?

I don't mind if the total amount of points stays the same, I just want the 'randomly spent' points removed and added into the spendable points so we don't have to keep clicking re-roll for 5 minutes.

Its a lot of fun to play as an nomadic Indian type, however currently it is hard to try to play as such. So I gota ask if any of these could be implemented into the game for some real cowboys n Indians fun.

For starters, currently there is no easy way to go hunting without a rifle, unless your really fast on foot.  If we could craft a few simple tools to help it might things go faster.

1: A throwable spear made from just wood as an early hunting device for both Indians and Settlers alike. (Crafting 1)

2: An Indian war club, either a wooden ball club or you can craft it with wood and stone for more deadly potential.
(Crafting 2 and 4)

3: Bow and arrows, the bow would require rawhide and wood with the arrows requiring just wood and maybe an upgraded type with iron.  (Crafting 3+)

If these were usable on horses that would be even better!!

It would also be very nice hides having more uses. 
1: As say a build bedroll to sleep on.

2: Siding for Tipis, large and small triangular pieces, if you place them right about 10 pieces are needed for a full circle? Minus 1 for the entrance.  Two sizes could be made, a normal large side about two men tall, and a small one at 1/3 that size.
   
3: Then of course some being able to make more clothing types out of it would be cool too.

Next for all the farmers out there, would it be possible to turn say two pieces of corn, cabbage, or grapes into seeds to plant?  That way we would only need to buy say a bag of seeds to start with.  With like 5 uses per bag, we wouldn’t need to waist much $$$ on plants once we had a few.

And yea can we have just our points to distribute? Instead of the roll thing.

with bows youd get people that would troll and shoot people with them just to tick them off and then of course let them live with an annoying arrow in them

People can already troll with guns and tools, this isn't a reason not to have bows. If you don't want people trolling then just remove all weapons, tools and horses completely. Oh but people can still troll with the chat, better remove that too.

I got'a agree, my requests were made with the hopeful assumption that the users would be playing along.  Needless to say you will find trolls and their sort anywhere.
And i mean whats an Indian raid without a few arrows in yer walls, cattle, and arse ; )
A horse without a saddle would be cool too! (afterthought)

Hey I play this mod for some days now and we have someting really starting to look good out there. I really enjoy the building system and the crafting system. As you stated in another post, you have to use your brain to craft something and that way you learn stuff much faster !
I really enjoyed building stuff, if you guys know the euro server, I built the church and bridge over there, i'm pretty proud of what I have done !
But still, i have some suggestions.

1. Like Greymane i think that the mod needs new items. I see that for .18 you plan to make leather usable, i hope this will allow the indians to have some decent stuff. I am really not sure about the bow idea though. Ah and also, women clothes, working clothes etc...

2. I don't know if it would be possible, but it would be really awesome if there could be any form of minecraft-like signs in this mod.

3. More props for building but maybe you plan to do this

4. this one is more of a bug report. I noticed that the stone wall model is transparent at its base, and the model does not actually fit the prop, there is a place in the top which you can walk through. Because of that my church has some walls that are just for visual purpose as you can walk through them.

5. I hope that this is gonna fixed with the error messages in .18 but still : the chests are nearly impossible to use, if you can take something from it you are just lucky. The description of each item in the chest does not fit either, you can see a Colt Army with the image of a cabbage that would be used for crafting for example.

That is all i can think of. This mod would in fact be very nice without all the code errors. Ah also, i like the idea of implementing some more admin commands !

What about shovels, for making moats, trenches, tunnels and the like? possibly trapdoors to hide the tunnels too? :P

Maybe a mix of TWW and Full Invasion?  You get like 30 minutes to build food and water supplies, walls, armories etc to then hold off several waves of zombies or so, to then get another 10 minutes to rebuild, face another, larger wave, get 10 minutes to rebuild and so forth.

This may sound a bit odd, and I strongly doubt it's possible, but I most certainly hope it can be done.
