Anyway Shopper, can you tell me the starting date of the mod? That's will determine the ruling Sultan, the capital, the cities that existed, the extent of the Empire, the nobles existed at that time etc etc etc

Level 3 of Malay troop: Regular troop that used more uniform Silat attire. Usually work as policemen, city guard under the patron of Temenggung and Laksamana with paid salaries.

Oh I see.

Well, in 1535, the ruling King was Sultan Alauddin Riayat Syah, and the nobles existed were Laksamana Hang Nadim (head commander of army), Temenggung Seri Wak Raja (Inspector General of Police), Tun Kamal Wangsa (head Islamic cleric), Tun Mat Ali (Head of Bodyguard), Seri Akar Raja, and other I have to read the Malay Annals more.

That not included King of other Johore vassal state, such as Raja Abdullah Syah, king of Kampar (cousin of  Sultan Alauddin Riayat Syah), and Sultan Mansur Syah, King of Pahang.

Malay troop level 4: The nobles / officers / captains

Of course the nobles use better attire....

MalayNoble1copy.jpg

1. Malay Noble headgears, the "destar" are not as simple as triangular tanjak. They have many designs and shapes and are given names to the headgears. They are made from "Songket", the fabrics decorated with golden / silver colored threads with geometric patterns.
2. Main weapons
3. Ornament
4. "Tekua" or "Muskat" the outer coat, made from "songket" too
5. Personal weapon (s)
6. "Pending", the decorated belt buckle.
7. "Sampin", the sarong made from "songket" too
8. "Seluar Mengan" the decorated trousers
9. "Capal", the shoes

Anyway, ignore the face-veil.

More nobles pic.

Are Malay nobles wearing Moro style armour too ?

In my opinion, I think perhaps Moro helmet was influenced by European Burgonet. Some of them also look like Morion.

Portuguese burgonet? at Malaysia musuem

Yeah, perhaps.

Hello, I first wanted to say taht I absolutely love this mod! I haven't been too active with M&B this year, but now that I came back, I saw this mod and its immidieatly going to my all time favorite list

I love the theme, I love the fact that you included the shan and portugese as playable factions and love the fact that while obviously Japan and China are outside the map, you can still have japanese and chinese mercenaries.

I love both the theme, new graphics and looking forward to the gameplay. I wanted to ask, is there a place where I can see the troop tree?

One small bug that I noticed is that in shan villages the houses have icicles under the roofs (likley a thing left from the original M&B). Since ice in southeast asia is pretty rare, I was wondering if you could remove the icicles (they seem to be a flat texture, so maybe just use a 100% transparent one?) or maybe change them into hanging moss or something?
I know its not the most important thing left to be done, but I just wanted to mention it as I'm not sur eyou noticed it and it seems very easy to fix.

Troop tree is on our Faceebook fanpage.
Here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.268389796576836.62417.163309950418155&type=3

we planned to release 1.1 version on May that will included new items, new sounds/music, new textures (we've made more than 200 MB of texture files now lol)

Sounds great about the new textures.
Thanks for the troop tree link, the fb page is a tad hard for me to navigate, as I don't read Thai.

One thing I noticed is that quite a few troop trees have just a single horseman. Arakan for example can get its "heavy" horseman in just 2 upgrades.
Admittedly, I'm no great expert when it comes to Lanna and south Thailand, but I know that in the case of the Khmer, Champa and Burmese most cavalry was local "subject" horsemen, armed with a light spear and little to no armor. The heavily armored "guard" cavalry seems to have been an elite minority, yet in the mod that's often the only sort of cavalry a faction has. Thus I was wondering, mayeb it would be proper to have a light spear cavalry unit that would then be upgraded to the heavily armored cavlaryman in most factions?

Another question, will the Mon and Champa be available in the game, as mercenaries perhaps?

Also, I remember some mods using elephants, will elephants be in this mod?

This mod is awesome,I play it about month I think.I just have one question. Is there a claim throne for le dinasty? casue I can't find him/her.I only found for Ayutthaya and Hanthawaddy. Can't find them even on the list of all characters. Thanks!

Great mod concept, and beautiful execution.

If you're interested, the 1.011 version of Hari Ragat can still be downloaded. It covers SE Asian islands, as opposed to the mainland.
http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1700

I think that Dariel would let you use some of the models. There are lots of weapons and armors, and I did a couple of ships (a Sulawesi padewakang and a small dhow) and some scenes (Javan terraces, Vietnamese rice paddies, a Brunei-like estuary village) that might work for you.
