Men are haunted by the vastness of eternity. And so we ask ourselves: will our actions echo across the centuries? Will strangers hear our names long after we are gone, and wonder who we were, how bravely we fought, how
fiercely we loved?

If they ever tell my story let them say that I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names will never die. Let them say I lived in the time of Hector, tamer of horses. Let them say I lived in the time of Achilles.  - Troy

You can still join. In teamspeak put "ts3.1stepi.com" for server address. Look for pub regiment channel.

If you can get in the game server, and in the TS channel, you'll get to play :D
"My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the Arsenal collapses, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of gooner-ship, but it is not this day. An hour of Spuds and shattered cannons when the Highbury Emirates comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of North London!"

I would like to make an announcement to our team, explaining our purpose on the battlefield. This is due to the fact that one regiment's leader, to remain unnamed, does not understand it.

Cannon guard stays near the artillery, and defends it from enemies. We do not charge so that the cav can go through with their flanking maneuvers, nor do we hold the line with the other line infantry regiments. Our job is to ensure that our artillery can continue to safely operate and take out targets that would threaten the rest of the team.
If you seriously believe that we should leave the guns unguarded so that we can follow your misguided idea of a strategy, then you need to rethink your stance as a regiment leader.

(Note: The person to whom this entire rant is directed knows who he is, or at least he should seeing as he's been antagonizing us for being artillery guard for weeks now.)

Now, with that bit of business out of the way, this week's was a good line battle.

The line regiment's leader who has been harassing you about this should learn to throw his regiment into the fray against multiple regiments without artillery support if he wants to complain so bloody much. I would much rather have artillery support than a few artillery guards holding the line with me and then the actual cannons being neutralized. Artillery is an important asset and usually worth more than an average infantry regiment.

Good LB tonight. The pubbers were immense!  We actually had enough to accommodate a flag bearer and a musician. No one complained at all despite having to move around like 1930s hobos.

I was quite worried at first because we were absolutely terrible during training. We tried playing 2 ranks, and it was a damn mess. The men got their shyte together come battle time though, and we proved an asset to whichever side we were playing with.

Had some old timers joining us as well, which was great to see. Lewp chickened out of being a special task force unit, but more than made up with his melee skills.

Goons defiantly won!
When the 29th Were switched over to England, everyone in the regiment was fearful of the idea that the dragoons are approaching us (As they have completely wrecked us after each blow)

Me showing off my acrobatic abilities during that LB :D

You love it Hader.

Artillerymen believe the world consist of two people; other artillerymen and targets.
