@Evanovic, I guess it's not really problem (but please do preach your problems with it to me) if it's done in an orderly fashion..

e.g. the following orders are given but the line is still maintained. About face; Guiding on the Officer - Forward march; Halt; About face.

Hm?  :|

Even if it's done in an orderly fashion it's pretty unhistorical. I'm trying to give that situation a downside so that we don't need rules to ban it. The downside would be that they wouldn't get the accuracy bonus that the standing still line would get. They'd sacrifice accuracy for some shelter whilst loading.

I like how it is right now. IMO it is annoying when some 51st/91st regiments come and shoots the shit out of everyone while out of the line, but I won't do anything to stop that - I do whine about it, but what can we do, just try to get on their side on lb's i guess

Also, kator, you support close-range skirmish shooting charges but not shooting from behind a hill?

Say what? I didn't say I didn't support it at all ... infact I support shooting from behind a hill because you hardly see it anymore, and yes I support close range skirmish CHARGE shooting, because I think shooting and charging is quite a fun concept, you've gotta fight in melee and not get shot (Which isn't a hard thing to do in itself it just takes a bit of practice).

Also I want to know how you lead to that conclusion?

About skirmishers though I love the way they fight anyway, think it kinda confused people one day when we were retreating and shooting, one guy zooms off and reloads as the others leg it past him shooting, then he shoots and the others reload ... quite simple yet strangely effective at people who have a lack of wanting to pursue.
