"Unable to connect to server"

Greetings all,

Just got word from the Developer Ragnor that indeed the serial key problems some have been experiencing where they have received 6x4 keys in the format of aaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeee-ffff (which do not activate Warband) from retail purchases through Germain re-sellers such as Saturn or Amazon.de are due to a mix-up at the publisher, Paradox Interactive.

I get an unable to connect message after it tries to validate my serial key whenever I try to join a server, both native and in mods. Fix me :3

@Sushiman .. i got the same problem .. i tried to fix it... I downloaded the game to see if it is a Cool game.. (soon buying Original game)
Now this morning when i tryed to connect to a server it showed : Unable to Connect!
How can i solve this?

Try deleting rgl_config.txt in \Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\

If you still have the problem, edit rgl_config.txt (it will be recreated when you enter the game) and change

use_secure_connection = 1

to

use_secure_connection = 0

Also, verify that the cd key in windows registry matches the cd key from the taleworlds website.

From the command prompt, type

regedit

Navigate to Hkey Current User>Software>MountAndBladeWarbandKeys

Oh, when you bought M&BW did it work in multiplayer or it didn't at all

Yup, internet worked fine until September/October.

Did you have Avast then? Did you change anything to your computer since?

to

use_secure_connection = 0

The game includes a try-before-you-buy system. You can play up to level 7 or 1 month in-game SP before it asks for a serial. Multiplayer is not part of the trial mode.

Thank you... the problem is fixed.. I think the european servers were out of air for some days..
Also im going to look some more on forum for Forum Info Thanks for the help guys
