@Serann: Pretty much, yes. Just find a spot on the map in the wiki on page 1 (It is a bit outdated, so double check before comitting to a location), settle down, and start writing some history for your new civ.

Yep, like Grimmend says, just pick a spot and decide how your nation/s come about. I plan on having a slightly more up-to-date map in a while, either today or tomorrow.

That sounds like the best way to keep from stagnating, and you could always rewrite the section if he returns and it isn't quite how he thinks it would go.

As promised, latest map update.
For people selecting positions (Serann and Pimple_of_Pixels), the largest and most obvious spots are the area between Dracotia and the Teutons or the area between the Dragon's Spine and the Zendial Desert.
