Yes and no. Mythologically speaking it's like what Angry Newbie said, but bear in mind mythology is just that, and the Greeks seem to have attributed a Hellenistic origin to a wide swathe of peoples. However there does seem to be something of a primordial greek connection with the Thracians judging from the Thracian's phrygian offspring. Phrygian language had a lot of similarities with the greek's, the title of warchief/commander being a near perfect cognate to the Linear B Lawagetai (no relationship to getai)  of the Mycenaeans.

Being over five years old, these guys needed some love. They're to be merged with thracians into the new faction. Thracians will also get some new models. Still wip.

On that topic, you might want to try what I'm going to do at SITD lynores. Make the bows with bow case + quiver case just use invisible quiver for their arrows. It's not perfect but there's no real way to synergize the frames of a case and quiver.

Like mentioned earlier, stuff is fantastic.

Thanks. Hopefullly these guys will turn into a nice diverse faction when they're merged with thracians. Should be a good break from phalanx fighting. I'll be changing persia and samnites a little as well, I'm not happy with them yet, some lack details, others lack specularity and normals , or have too bright colors and so on.

Some work in progress for lower tier units. Osprey's reconstructions were kept for the patterns.

EDIT:

And yet another one, this time pattern friendly. The pin will be replaced and the whole thing adapted to celt references. Needs to be rescaled and several adjustments, but anyway.

Nice, love the robe.
But how does it work, is it attached to the armor ingame?

If it's like the Thracian cuirass' cape in-game right now, I'd say it's part of the armor itself. Don't think there's really any other way of doing it.

Thought so, though I heard something about putting it in the glove equipment slot.

It's the same cuirass used by Athenian's Hoplites?
