Thanks. Don't worry, ninjas have not invaded my thoughts. I was thinking that maybe you can rename the looters, bandits, and deserters into Royalists and give some kind of uniform. I think it would be cool to have a little clash with Royalists here and again in the countryside. Thanks for hearing me out

Napoleon made a pit-stop at Malta on the way to Egypt, but the Knights Hospitaller that controlled the island refused to let his fleet and army rest on their shore... so of course Napoleon landed by force and ousted that ancient and obsolete symbol of the Ancien Regime and brought the revolution to the Maltese.

Yeah. Royalists were people who were still loyal to the crown and wanted to overthrow the Revolutionaries. During Napoleon's rule, there were constant sabotages in the countryside and cities and assassination attempts

Sorry, but one more suggestion How bout after you take a city or fort, there's kinda like a scene of surrender with guards and all that. It was under Austria... Venice was abolished in the 1790's, AFAIK.

I've look for it on the internet and according to the spanish wiki the Republic of Venice dissappeared in 1797 defeated by Napoleon. The republic was conquered without offering any ressistance, just like the Knights Hospitaller. The territory conquered was divided between France and Austria.
 Soy maybe Docm30 you could add some venetian soldiers as desserters pratolling around Venice?

Venice is part of the Kingdom of Italy, and, as I understand, quite willingly so.

Agovic, Malta isn't in yet. If and when I do add it, it'll be British controlled, as it was in 1809.
