Hey, Docm, I've found a good history Q&A website

http://history.stackexchange.com/questions

It's really good.

look at:

 http://history.stackexchange.com/questions/1515/musketeer-beard-mustache-and-hairdress-where-did-they-originate

Look at my answer talking about beards and civilization with all the nice pics and a graph. Hilarious

A minotaur has shown up, killed a Yak and Bunny and knocked one of my dwarves unconscious. Now it's beating him in the head with a cave spider silk sock, which isn't doing much.

You don't need to read 160 pages, just use search.

@#@$.... Not this again... I now have a feeling of impending un-needed artillery discussion
James, there is no question you use Smithy-Seeking Ammunition (SSA).  That Carbine has never failed to hit me right in the face as you're going full speed on horseback.

Only if you comment it, James, only if you comment it...
I only agree with democracy if the people voting are sane.

That clip from The Duellists reminds me that the screenshots of the French Hussars on the first page are extremely outdated.

This is what they look like now.

There are several significant changes since I last showed this uniform, but the most obvious is that I changed it from the 6th regiment to the 3rd, as I prefer the colouring.

I'm in love with it.  Even without my highly revered Pelisse, it's still dashing.

Not as much a crit on the uniform but the pistol. From this distance it looks like the wood and the metal have the same specular brightness, It makes it look like the same material.
Yes, Now go make us some sandwiches!

You will be free to wear a pelisse, it's just that the troops won't.

OK (can I call you OK?), the pistol is ancient and will be redone.

Thank you for the answer about the Pelisse, if you can believe it, it made my day (I for some reason love Hussar fashion).
Now, I am curious about General Lasalle (Probably my reason for my love of hussar fashion).  Will he be in-game as a commander for the French?

Also Docm I have seen you post some of this on Polycount, if you make a thread for it you can probably get better crits then any of us can give.

Also note the Cadenettes (i.e. the braided sidelocks).
