--- Quote from: Kawee on June 03, 2012, 01:49:18 AM ---A dodging system I think might work would be a quick "skip" to the side. No rolling or jumping or double jump (somersault?) or any of that BS. So a movement control that allows you to skip to a side, landing your weight on either your right or left foot. It would really add to the footwork, but it must be balanced with some reaction time. So you can't just skip from side to side and still be cutting things down like a God, because you don't have the proper footing to apply the force behind your swings and stabs.

Fair enough. Like so? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayKTsDW_gPU&t=57s
MadocComadrin:
Aye, most 3D LoZ's have a nice skip-dodge as well.

You know what I would really like?
some sort of bonus that encourages people to fight in formation, so we wont get fights degenerate into pairs "oribitng" eachother, at the moment if you have a look at any large fight from a distance it looks more like some kinf od dance. there is no real front line and this makes people not want to stand in a shield wall or anything. maybe have spears go through people and allow them to hit enemies over someones shoulder, like you can with the pike when you smash it down.
LittleJP:
How about making shields block no matter if the block button is active, or able to block while attacking? Then, you would rely on neighbor's coverage to protect yourself.
mikkel the great:
I'd rather say reduced damaged. If you get hit on your shield, but werent ready for the hit, it hurts like **** :(
