Much to my dismay, I'm still getting the "weapons2.lod" error.

I've downloaded both archives, and fiddled with the files a bit, but it won't fix it.

Does anyone have a clue about a possible fix ? Or, alternatively, could someone send me the file from a working installation ?

Hm. Well, maybe try another redownload? lol. I don't know. You could also try perhaps running it as administrator (if you aren't) and/or running it in DirectX7 (You can change it on the mount and blade launcher).

I really don't know if either of those will fix your problem, but good luck.

I stumbled upon this mod a couple of days ago and I'm loving it! :D
So far, these are the only problems I've ran into:
1. One of the Vale lords asked me to destroy bandit's hideout, but there is no hideout (I even tried turning on the "show whole map" cheat and still nothing).
2. Guildmasters ask me to destroy a bandit party lead by one of the enemy lords (Lord Oakheart from Reach, I think), but as soon as I left the town, I got the "quest failed" message.
3. Some taverns have no tavernkeeper.
4. Ironborn Berserkers are ridiculously overpowered. They're one-hitting everything and are more damage resistant than any of the lords (Garlan Tyrell, Sawane Botley and Randyll Tarly all were KO'ed by one arrow in the back, berserkers need 2 shots)! (Apparently, berserkers have 400 weapon skill, 10 Ironflesh, 10 power strike and 10 athletics o.O)
5. Not really a bug, more of a A.I. problem: Starks just sit up in the North, doing nothing.

I have the same problem, "weapons2.lod" ... I've re-download 6 times... but nothing...

I have a stupid question: why the file name is "weapons2.lod.dds" and not "weapons2_lod.dds"?

Tried a few fixes, none worked. So, if anyone would be so kind as to send me a copy of their weapon2.lod.dds to spellcraftslut (at) gmail (dot) com, I'd owe them a few stags and a pint.

I've been getting a Microsoft Visual C++ Error whenever I go into a battle. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem or could help. It only happens on this mod. I will update with more details on exactly what it says when it happens again.

I had some such problem with this install a while back - (for Win 7) installing/extracting while doing it under Administrator Privileges may help.

For those who have troubles starting the mod because of missing files... have you checked your version of the game? I had the same problem (although I don't remember what file was missing) until I updated to the last version of the game.



I played the mod for a few hours so far and its quite nice :)
Only issue I have is the size of the map. I think its a little bit to huge for the sake of game mechanics. For example I highly doubt the north will gather an army to march south, as it will take too much time and the lords will get upset.

Also I would suggest to really add Jamie Lanister and Theon Greyjoy. Though Jamie is imprisoned he is still an important strategic figure - so I guess it wouldn't be too much out of canon simply putting him back with his family.

Is there anyway to remove the minimap and health bars when in battle?

Is it anything I can remove in an .ini file?
