Instead of musket troops, they should be hand cannoneers of course due to the short range and inaccuracy and slow reloading time the hand cannons their operators should be fairly skilled in hand to hand combat, and should be well protect. The elite Hand Cannoneers would even where plate armour.

You are free to create such a tree. Since henx has already stated his plan and did not ask folks to give him suggestions, please adhere to that.

I'm sorry, I just had to jump in just to say: sigh. Three times in one thread, people complain about "don't add it, it's not accurate, go play WFAS noob" (or whatever other variation) without reading the freaking thread... or even technically the initial post. Where's the guy with the Snakes on a Plane "read the mutha****in' thread before you mutha****in' post" avatar when you need him?

I've been planning on working on a musket patch-in myself (as part of my much larger, more ambititious, and unlikely-ever-to-be-released patch-in project); ever since the Band of Warriors Expanded days I missed firearms, which were inaccurate and mostly only used by the player and River Pirates but dammit it was fun anyway.

Looks like there are no OSP musket models or objects that I can use... maybe I just missed them in my search but I can't find anything. Unless someone knows where I can get them, and I'd really appreciate it, I'll have to create them myself. I don't really have a problem with creating the items on my own, but in doing so it will take longer as I will need to learn how to do that as well. (And I can't imagine they'd look all that great on my first couple of tries)

SoD has some pretty epic guns, maybe you can ask them if you could use them.
No need for sources this is just reality.

what about something like arquebus, or something similar to the firearms unit in assassins creed two brotherhood? that takes place in the 1500's...

If folks are looking for OSP firearms to add in look at the Blood & Steel mod.  It is entirely OSP and has a number of models.  That said, we still do not intend to add these to the base Floris mod.

Especially since there are already a few (altough unused) musket models in the mod. So if anyone is still interested in creating this musket tree, it's certainly possible now.
