Perhaps some type of economy can be set as well, making Trade agreements actually useful...
Say each clan starts with 5,000 yen/koku/gold, the Daimyo can 'buy' armor and weapons and such for his soldiers, so during Battles they can only use what they've bought, or the default gear.

With a map (like the one already posted) each province can 'earn' certain amount of cash for which ever clan holds it on a weekly basis (along with trade bonus, possibly building bonus as well).


If you guys want, I can write up some financial stuff...

68's a tall bill, but if you make 2/3 generic towns, villages, and castles with special scenes for important cities (i.e.: Kyoto) that'd be great.

If any of you play PW I made the map (GoT) that's up on NA right now, and I'd be willing to help/personally make most of the scenes  :mrgreen:

Oda trades:Matchlock rifles.
Takeda:Warhorses
SHimazu:Special katana swords.

and as long as clans are trading they can use them,when stopped trading they cant use them.

Oh, I plan on it being simple, something just for clan battles basically, also I'd probably make a "Finance" Thread to help everyone keep track of their Clans money...

Example:
Ashigaru Do-Muro (Nobori) - $100 (Basically paying to field units here)
O-Yorio (Nobori) - $350

Probably a good idea to discus the prices with  everyone first, but since weapons and armor are similar for each faction it should be easier to agree on.

But some clans do not have matchlock rifles in their faction classes so even if they were trading with the Oda they still wont be able to use matchlock rifles.

But some clans do not have matchlock rifles in their faction classes so even if they were trading with the Oda they still wont be able to use matchlock rifles.

yes thats the only thing thats bothering atm.(maybe classes with passwords?)

If possible, I'd say yes to the "class passwords", if not... I'm not sure... Maybe if we can get a sub-mod for Admins so they can spawn weapons for factions?

what we could do is each area of japan you control gives you say
500 Extra starting gold if you are a high rank
400 extra starting gold if you are a semi high rank
300 extra starting gold if you are a samurai
etc.

So the areas you control the more expensive armour your troops can Buy.

And with trade agrements i think it would be very hard for these to actualy mean something in the game.
Maybe you could chose Say our ODa capital to another countries capital and then there will be a blue line drawn between the two sectors. and it boosts how much gold those two areas get

E.g
Oda capital before 500 gold output
??? Capital before 500 gold output

Trade agrement occurs
Oda capital now has 600 gold output
??? capital now has 600 gold output

For the Trade agreement, that is pretty much what I had in mind.

For the Price tags, its mainly going to be a price tag on weapons, since armor tends to be the same two types in MP (4 types if you count the two with banners on the back).

I'm thinking more along the lines of Clans have to buy their weapon stocks with gold they earn from the land they own. An example of this would be that Osumi gives the controlling clan 75 gold a week, while another province might give 50 or 100 gold or something like that... I might start ripping off prices and such from the original shogun total war for this if it goes through, since that seems more fair then some people on here deciding prices and such.

Probably not, more like on a thread there will be a map, showing all the provinces, and who owns them.
Clans can declare war and attack a province near them I guess, and the battle will be done ingame.

A bit like cRPG's Strategus, but alot less fancy :)
