I have always wondered, what is "Caveman" in old norse

that would probably be Steinaldarmaðr

The most common Old Norse word for 'cave' was hellir. And so the Landnámabók mentions hellismenn 'cavemen' when referring to certain outlaws hiding in caves.

That would make you one Hellismaðr (or in-game, where there are no fancy characters: Hellismadr).

Hey Earlic,
:D I know it's a typo, but it's one of the nicest ones I've ever seen.

You and I read Dutch eerlijk 'honest', but all them foreigners will read ear-lick:|

so my viking name would be Uga the Hellismadr? hmmmm

Of course remember that it's pronounced "Heddlis" and not "Hellis".

When I started playing this mod, I had the name of Tareth. Now, after a long time of staying away from the mod playing M&M and NW, I've returned as Alrekr. I don't know how long I will play, but I know that I will play for a while.

Behold my new character name! I will from this day on be known as Haakon Sigurdsson! Kneel traitors of Novgorod, supporters of the traitorus Yaropolk. My viking army shall bring ragnarok upon you!

Good thing I didn't name myself Haakon (where my name derives from) but the more unusual Harkon. Quite a few appearing. :P

I mean would you think about eating it if you found a little TRex?

The size of a family does not mean that the family is well off or prestigious. Just means that your ancestor liked to get it on. :P

Æþelwulf se Hwíta has gone into retirement for now, he has settled down to tend to his land and hopes his fame shall be followed by that of his sons. But if the need arises he shall take up his axe once more and his enemies shall fall under the fury of his blows.

I shall now be fighting under the new name and guise of Sitriuc Árchú son of Taileflaith, lead scout of the Haras, be wary for this dog never tires.

Also thank you once more to Eadric, master of naming.

Wondering....
Kerbouchard apparently came from Brittany in France....
And Mathurin (is a French forename)
I found the name in Louis L'Amour's book, The Walking Drum

Any insight on the pronunciation of Kerbouchard?
I've always said-
 Ker-bauh oo -chard
(3 syllables, baugh and oo together)

Sitric in Árchú = Sitric the Wolf-hound.

Or

Sitric Árchon = Sitric, Wold-Hound.

Or Sitric na Árchú = Sitric of the Wolf-hound.
