Neither is better they are different and people play them for different reasons.

Exactly.
But if someone says any of em is better that only means its better for that exact person not in general.

I like and play Native, but I think saying throwing weapons aren't very useful there shouldn't be a very controversial claim. If you combine the lower damage ratings with the higher shield skills and the faster movement rate, it's obvious they're not particularly lethal weapons for their price.

Throwing weapons are EXTREMELY useful in Native competitive gameplay.
You use them to suppress archers, keep cavalry at bay, finish off downed opponents from bumps and simply throw them into engaged and distracted opponents to nail a potentially lethal/stunning hit. Its use is overall more tactical than lethal, so to say, since you have them in higher number and packing less damage.

I mean would you think about eating it if you found a little TRex?

The size of a family does not mean that the family is well off or prestigious. Just means that your ancestor liked to get it on. :P

Maybe, but I was talking about casual, everyday play here. Normal Native servers are not known for the teamwork involved after all.

I just referred competitive play because it's where the point of their use is more obvious. They still have intelligent applications in public play, many of them the exact same, even if only to save your own skin, you just gotta be crafty and know the right moment to use them. :P
Definitely shouldn't be underestimated.

My point is, throwing weapons have their role and different advantages in both Modules, and I like them both. In Vikingr they're deadly, 1 hit wonders (which is amazingly satisfying), or greatly damage shield should they catch one.

How many do you get in a bag in vikingr again?

If you play TDM or DM, a bag of javalins can only kill so many nabs. More use in battle.
