Historic Awards and Historicial most comical things or ironical that happened

It's the same man- John of Luxembourg was king of Bohemia.
He was a blind king who refused not to fight, so had his horse roped into a conroi with his household knights, on the basic prinicipal that blind or not, knights charging in such tight ranks with lances will ALL do serious damage.
Notice I said PRINCIPAL, not LOGIC.
Needless to say, he died. Suprising, that one... I just feel sorry for all the poor bastards roped together who couldn't flee or fight in a melee...

heh. see...it looks stupid to you. But here in Czech Republic we quote him a lot with great pride. :)
"Toho bohdá nebude, aby český král z boje utíkal!" which roughly translates to "God shall never witness a czech king run away!"
so the fact he attacked when being blind can be seen from fairly different views :)
