I thought it was midly entertaining about the Cadaver Synod of Pope Formosus.

The funny part was when the pope was shouting accusations at the corpse and demanding it to answer.

I read a biography on Attilla the Hun. Getting drunk and dying from it seemed to be completely in-character. A simple man with simple values, I'd say. He still scared the hell out of the Chinese, though.

Attila didn't gain power over the Huns until they were practically at the gates of Constantinople (It was somewhere in Eastern Europe).
That being said, he scared the hell out of the Romans.

the huns scared the doodoo out of europe as a whole not just rome. granted rome controlled much of europe, but thats not exaxtly the same thing :P
