What is all of this stuff about caravans? Can't I just raise a company and join a faction as a merc leader? Do I have to be a merchant? I'd rather be a soldier

I have a few questions and wonder if you can answer

My mercs have been recruits for ages now, how long untill i can upgrade them? (not give them gear, make them a higher rank than recruit)

When I upgrade gear on my current mercs, will future mercs also have the gear?

Same, not upgraded yet :S Have won about 12 battles too....

when you talked about sending caravans, did you mean defend them? the quest the mayor gives you or did you actually mean sending your own caravans with goods?

When you talk to mayor there is option to ask for work and there is one about caravans.
Mercs equipment is for those that you have. It takes a while to upgrade them.

Try to take a loan from the bank, ask lords for quest and hope you get collect taxes one.

The King of Poland gave me a patient to gather up all his subject to take back warsaw, but hardly any of  them go with me, any help guys?

Which upgrade is better for marksmen? Armor or weapons? I'm not sure how much armor does or doesn't do in this game, same for weapons.

Concerning the proposed trade between Koen and Warsaw, what precisly are you trading? I can't seem to make any correlations. I have 18k already so I am ready to do some serious trading.

Depends on how much you can spend. Ranged weapon upgrades are always better; armour is a bit trickier, the best armour will make them a lot more survivable, but the lower armour (and increments thereof) really won't make that much difference, at least in my experience.

With enough money and after getting trade pattent I go for high prised goods, thats what brings money. I tend not to go for products under 100/unit.
On screen steel has highest prise so I would go for that, and send a large caravan.

You need to improve your relations to Lords.
