OK, Europa Barbarorum seems REALLY complex. I started a game as Rome and the myriad of available units to recruit and super stacked enemy cities around me made me brainfart and leave. Will dive back into it when I feel bolder!

Just stick with it. Rome and Carthage are the easiest factions really. It might be good to read a guide since there are some new features such as regional forces and different government types.
