M&B Warband CO-OP?
« on: January 02, 2011, 02:04:43 PM »
Hello everyone.

I've been thinking of something lately...
Is there any way, that there could be added a CO-OP feature to M&B Warband?
When you think about it, it could be pretty cool, having all the features from the singleplayer, putted into multiplayer.
Take this as a suggestion, what could be added to M&B Warband.

Disguss.

This would come closest to a CO-OP experience in Warband.

Hmmm quite interesting...I guess it would be awesome to have villages and for the rents from it buy troops and armor and raid enemy villages and so on.There is a multyplayer mod kinda like it.

Yeah, I see... But it might be possible to walk around at the campaign map somehow, buying equipment etc.
I see that theres alot of multiplayer lookalike, but when you think in generally, it might not be that hard to make.

The problem is where you have a lot of single player aspects that wouldn't work in multiplayer like being able to speed time up while resting/waiting/captured/etc.  And a bunch of other things that I can't think of right now but I thought of previously about this same subject.

The speed time up thing isnt really that needfull like maybe when youre resting only youre and youre troops only will regain hp faster but not time...

What you are looking for is a MOUNT & BLADE WARBAND MMORPG but as far as I konw that doesn't exist.

Yep, there have been a lot of threads about co-op. Not only that but as RockerJesse said, I've yet to seen one that proposes a system, whereby it would actually work. Most of people mindlessly get excited about the concept, without considering that it's a logistical impossibility, without some heavy changes to gameplay.

I'll leave this thread open for now as, even though Mad Dawg is right, there have been many threads on the subject, all of the others were 5/6 months ago.

This is another feature suggestion though, right?

As far as a co-op mod goes, I would be satisfied if there was a mod where one player could take the role of a hero in another player's army.  That way you wouldn't have to change the mechanics of the non-battle world at all.  The hero-player would simply see the same screen that the Player sees outside of a battle.  It would be cool if you could level your hero up on a screen while the player controlled his army on the world map.  If that couldn't be done, It would even be fine if the level up process was given completely to the controlling player.

Cheers  :P

But in game, every time I have contact with you, you're a giant d*ck. Act right in game and maybe I'll listen to what you have to say outside.
