sorry I've read through alot of this thread and still can't figure out what's going on so here goes with what you want us to show you. MOd did put a shortcut on my desktop but it keeps saying it's an unsupported version.

The warband script enhancer is not currently updated to be used with warband 1.151.  You can download 1.143 still and use your steam key (assuming you are using steam) in it though.

Ok, now it makes sense. Stupid Steam, messing everything up as they tend to do. After trial and error I can usually figure the problem out with a mod, but this one had me stumped as I never thought a new version would come out right when I bought an older game. I thought it might be a version problem but was hoping it was something else; something involving a quick fix.  Thanks for the info, I'll download 1.143 and hope that will work with my steam key.

Hey folks

Probably futile for a novice modder, but I've had a go at integrating diplomacy+PBOD into my debut mod.  It compiles fine but as soon as I enter a battle, I get:

"Incorrect skeleton type for anim 553."

....then it crashes.

Could this be a conflict between the new crouching animations and the spear_bracing animations in module_animations?

Any help would be great.

Probably a conflict between the new animations that PBOD adds and what Warband version 1.151 expects as it adds animations. The PBOD modmerger kit should add animations in the correct place (lower, overwriting the unused human animations) but if you are adding by hand, you'll need to be sure you integrate them on top of unused human animations and not insert them, pushing the list down.

Thanks for the reply Caba`drin.  Still having some problems with this.  I used modmerger and it modifies ID_Animations around 553 from:

to

..which made me think this was the problem.  I then commented out the PBOD entries in Module_Animations, reverted to the original ID_Animations, recompiled and ran.  Started a new game and got the same crash.

This has left me confused.

Huh. I haven't tried moving to 1.151 yet as WSE hasnt' been updated, so I haven't looked at whether I'll need to make changes to the animations merger. Are you using the most recent kit?

No worries - I must be doing something daft (at least in terms of getting the same error with or without a modified ID_Animations).  The crash happens as soon I attack another party - i.e. before the actual battle where you talk to party with the portrait in the top left.

I'm using the non-WSE implementation.  Diplomacy 4.1 + PBOD 0.90 I think.

I'll have another crack when I get home.

Of course. Once WSE is updated I'll get a 'quick' compatibility version out...but it will take longer to rework a chunk of what I've done to take advantage of the WFaS/NW stuff they included as usable by modders. Much of it duplicates what I (and other modders) have done and is included here (like crouching, pike bracing, etc) but should do so more efficiently in the long run.

There is an anticipated patch for the patches to v1.152 as early as this weekend or into next week, which is probably when WSE will also be updated, but that of course might take a couple of days depending. So...probably another week or so before this gets updated.

Also I'm not sure when/if Waithi and zPar are planning to update Diplo to the new module system. There are some changes there, particularly to the economy (again)...likely my updates won't include porting Diplomacy.

I've got a problem, i can't see reports and that's really frustrating. When i start the game i can see reports outside of battle but when i fight with someone i get the error "unrecognized opcode 4300.: LINE NO: 10:"
After that i can't see reports in battle or outside. When i first got this mod i used native saves but  that shouldn't be an issue right?

Native saves aren't a problem. Your problem is you aren't using the shortcut the mod creates on your desktop to run it. You must use the shortcut/loader on the current version (you can get an older, more feature-limited version that says non-WSE that doesn't require this loader of course). That's why the OP, the download page, the readme, and the installer all say you must run the game with the shortcut the installer creates.

At first I still got the error with the launcher, but then I did a full reinstall and now it's working!
Thanks for the help! Played for two weeks without reports, man it was almost impossible to rule a faction...
