Enemy Warbands and Lords Option to Surrender

The ability to request a castle or town's surrender while significantly outnumbered is a substantial improvement over native. The path to conquering Calradia leads to many repetitive battles and auto-resolve leaves much to be desired.

It would be great to see this feature extend to other battles. It sort of defeats the purpose of the character saying "Surrender or Die" to an enemy lord that is completely incapable or either surrendering or dying. Then to top if off, an enemy lord will sometimes say something like This:

I would like to see enemy warbands given the option to surrender without a fight much like castles and towns can now. Optimally this would factor in the characters persuasion skill, enemy party type and the amount they are outnumbered by. For instance: An enemy caravan might have a 60% chance of surrender, while a group of mountain bandits might only have a 30% chance.  An enemy party may have a 50% chance to surrender when outnumbered 2 to 1, and a 70% chance to surrender if outnumbered 3 to 1. Additionally, honorable lords (not wanting to see their men slaughtered) might have a better chance of surrender than dishonorable ones (who don't care as much for the lives of their men).

Is there some way I can remove the atmospheric shaded yellow background from the Troop Trees?  I like to print them out so they are handy when upgrading troops and the background and the shading make most of the text really hard to read.  Or maybe provide them in the Wiki?

I'd like to see blunt weapons added to the selection for freelance soldiers.  One handed for the knights, two-handed for sword masters.

Edit: I suggest that you adjust the economy as all i see it does is inflate prices and makes it impossible to gain any money by trading. Also trying to own an enterprise in a town is pointless unless you can find endless supplies because (in my games at least) i have not been able to own one that has a profit about -82 denars

I think buffing the freelancer troops to a level where they can actually compete with faction troops and mercenaries would be great since atm their only real use (at least for me) is to give them to other lords to bolster their numbers and increase relations.

Other than that I'd really like an option to decrease the font size of the casualty messages in battle. I don't want to deactivate them, because they give a nice overview of how the battle is going while you're in the midst of it. But at the same time it's really annoying to effectively lose vision on the whole left side of the the screen.

We can only change the font size for the entire game, not parts of it. So everything would be tiny, if we made the font smaller.

And what about adding an option to change size of them ingame? Because in city battles, especially in night all I can see is messages, but if they were smaller, it would be good.

Not possible.

You can change the size yourself by copying the file font_data.xml from Warband\Data to Warband\Modules\Floris\Data and then editing it...you'll see the size right at the top. You'll need to restart Warband to see a change.

Hey guys, I've just started playing FLoris and it is nothing short of amazing. However I do have a few suggestions though.

Maybe the FLoris team can improve the siege battles. I like to be able to order my troops to put up new ladders and for defenders troops to remove ladders off of their walls. Maybe some battering rams to knock down gates with high hp (like the one in multiplayer) as well.

I hope these can be done :)

Not sure of any of this from a coding standpoint but as far I know the ladder thing isn't possible seeing the way the AI mesh and the ladders are handled. The gate thing could possibly be done not sure but it would need some new code so AI troops can target the destructible doors. As they are they don't even read its existence.

i suggest putting the item
"Hard-Tack" like
other mods... with 150 as amount or something near/higher, and NO/NEGATIVE morale bonus
should cost more or as same as bread, and less than meat ( chicken, pork, beef, etc)

question? why cant i pay that 5k to rescue a prisoner? i know it wasnt in the vannilla game, but why hasn't it been modded in yet?

i would love the options to either pay for a prisoner or trade prisoners.
