Maybe I'm not the best one to answer this (in fact I know I'm not, but I will try anyways.)

But. We are slowly puttering away, working on whatever our modders have the time/skill to do.
I'm not sure about our progress, or if I'm even allowed to divulge that information in any great detail. but I can tell you one thing. As far as I know, we are not even remotely close to our possible alpha release, Please don't take this info as set in stone. as our private forums have been kinda quite as of late, so I might be uninformed on this.

I assure you fellow goodbeast, we are making progress.

Progress is indeed being made, not as fast as we would want to, but we are working on that.

BTW, I hope you are not recording sounds for characters by punching rodents next a microphone.

Actually we set up a microphone next to a mini boxing ring and told them that the males the last rodent standing would be put in a box with the females.
You want realism get your friend or parent to stand over your shoulder and every time you take damage have them whack you over the head.  The pain will be 100% realistic!

Hm, maybe a good idea to start working on some voice acting. Is somebody familiar with the growling of weasels, rats and ferrets :P.

I know some people who own ferrrets...could try to make some recordings there. I for myself COULD maybe do the sound of a monitor lizard (not sure if they are in the mod but anyway)  :mrgreen:

Redwall Vermin Resurgence: Fire Spreading Preview

This preview will give a short outline of a new feature of Fire Spreading that will be included in the Redwall Vermin Resurgence module.

Ever wanted to set a town on fire? Burn down a forest? Or simply to keep yourself warm? Now, here is your chance!

An object, in this case a tree, can be lit with for example a torch. My apologies for I am not using any custom animal yet. It's all about the fire now  :mrgreen:.

Once the player uses the torch on the tree, it will set on fire.

After several seconds, the fire will spread out to other nearby flammable objects, in this case trees again.

The fire will continually spread after time, as can be seen on these images.

For this example we used trees, but this is applicable on actually any kind of object. We most likely will use this for in quests, story driven events and maybe even sieges. But that is still to be considered.

There are still some minor flaws in it, such as timing, and the amount of in range that will be affected in range and other minor details we did like to work into it. For example new particle effects will need to be made, but that is all for later.

We hope you enjoyed these screenshots for now ;). We of course keep working on mod so we can make some good progress.
