No, Raz, that's yet another one, but most of the people were at both ;)

The weapons are made of wood for the shafts and  carpet or camping mats/EVA with lots of tape for the blades. We don't use latex here, cause it's quite expensive and too light.

edit: forgot to mention that it's an after LARP battle only for fun between Hussites and a totally fictional group of german crusaders in alliance with Vikings ;) :D

edit II : and a test of a shieldwall from last year ;)

I was going to ask if they were Hussites. The long flails kind of gave it away.

The kit is great. I like the fact that the colours match. Looks better than a rainbow horde 'o doom.

I see that some of those large flails are made completely out of wood... don't people get injured by them and other weapons?

I think it's not wood :D it's probably something soft with wood texture taped to it ;)
(the heads for sure. The shafts are wooden probably. So I guess you can get hit by that a bit ;))
