I don't think this is an accurate representation of mid 13th century Carcassonne unfortunately. A huge part of the walls was actually built in the late 13th century.

Xilaw, I didn't say that you are arrogant either. Nor do I look for perfection, but please quote me if you can! I merely asked for a reference. Just look at some of my scenes, especially the villages, which aren't based on any historical maps, because there aren't any. And I disagree with others in the alternate recruitment thread, so what?! I wrote there that it is up to DrTomas to code this feature as he likes.

Besides, when did people quote something while they were refering to something they weren't quoting?! Explain to me what the purpose of a quote is!

You are still unable to read what I write and it is your inability that makes you look like a fool. Why don't you concede this point or do you want to repeat your mistakes over and over again like you just did?

And Al-Mansur just demonstrated that mazai already wasted some of his time. Xilaw, unless you have something useful to say, please spam other parts of the forum.

Really? I'd say you should read what you write instead since you write something then deny it later to make me look like a fool when it's clearly there. Mazai didn't waste his time, he did something useful for the community even though it might've been inaccurate, as long as it's fixable. As I said before, lack of information, and he says it so himself. Look up.

This is being blown out of proportions. You don't take criticism as well as you give it away.

P.S if you wanna continue this debate we should PM instead of spamming this thread. And don't accuse me of spamming since you yourself took the liberty to reply.

just my two cents, since there's no exact record of certain places, it seems silly to discredit and reject great work like that posted earlier. (not saying that's what happening, just pitching in a point of view of a common fan, history lover but also a gamer). the more variety, the merrier!

Sorry Xilaw, copy and paste my post into word and search for arrogant or arrogance and you won't find that word, nor is lecturing someone arrogant. You point out errors nobody makes.
And I am spamming, because I reply to your lies, Xilaw? You are pathetic!

And about doing something useful. I got a pm from mazai and I am the one checking his Orleans scene and correcting it, not you. Furthermore, the first post in this thread from DrTomas tells you what the scenes are supposed to be like. And nobody rejected mazai's work, but it is hard to help him with this language barrier.

That's weird since it's exactly what you accused me of in your first reply. We're both spamming the thread and you can't put all the blame on me e.g I told you if you wanted to continue this chat, send a PM, instead you chose to write in this thread again. My so called "lies" are backed up by quotes from your own posts. I didn't say you're not useful nor that I am. If you can't have a civilized debate and be able to refrain yourself from calling me names then this conversation is over. :|

I still need someone who speaks russian, because I can't get through to mazai. He sent me some file, but it is the wrong one and I don't know how to explain the location of his scenes in the mod folder to him any better.
He said he changed the Aachen scene to make Orleans, but his scn_aachen_center is the original one from an older revision of the svn version. Manually placed grass is still in the scene he sent me, so I know he is using an older revision.
I tried to point him to the red marking of changed scenes in the SceneObj folder, so that he would upload his scenes and this time the right files, but he didn't and wants to make Krak de Chevalier now. I told him not to, until someone has taken a look at the scenes to see if they are complete and judging from his pms the walkers and soldiers are missing, which tells me he doesn't know entry points, etc.

I posted this in public, so that a russian and english speaker could help us out. Posting a request in the russian subforum may help.

And Xilaw, I will never stop answering you in public, because you are still wrong and have been wrong from the very start. You give me a bad name and I give you what for!

That's what I thought. By the time of the mod Carcassonne's walls remained almost entirely Roman (excepted the battlements and the castle).
So we have to use:
- the roofed tower of castle_f for the Roman towers (modified version with red Roman tiles would be great).
- my French walls for the battlements
- a modified version of my 12_french_tower_b for the castle.

@UghUghUgh

Try speaking Russian then by using Google Translate. Might not be always grammatically correct but he'll be able to put it all together.

UghUghUgh I have 14 version of the mod.
What more need castles or cities? Orleans, and I have already made Carcassonne

Venice or Rome perhaps?
I'll start doing a scene in Venice, if you'll look like you carry a scene.
