Ye you are right. No point in babbling and talking shit to each other on Internet - it takes time and nerves as well. Just do it, no discussing

to further explain my point:

this mod is fun for people who are pros. this isn't for the faint hearted. you won't survive long if you're not looking out for yourself. nobody said this mod would be easy - couched by a teammate? boo hoo. killed while mining? too bad.

i'd like to hear from laszlo about dying - either i'm making a lot of sense here with my theory of survivalism, or i've got it completely wrong and maybe i too should join the many crybabies who don't like being killed at the mines. only laszlo can answer that question

Well, i may whine, but and i am not erh... faint hearted? I do understand, that in time of lawlessness there's no one helping you and you might do eveything yourself. Hide, fight, kill, set up traps. So i do with bandits, cause i really don't like them.

good man. that is what makes this mod fun - not knowing who to trust, and the everlasting threat of brigands. deal with it in game instead of on the forums. and it seems that you have killed bandits. keep it up

Here is how I see it.  If you want deathmatch, go on a deathmatch server.  If you want some sort of a roleplay environment with organisation and structure, join this mod's servers.  To what authority does the mod designer have if he does not control every server?

Because of the general freedom neutrals and especially bandits are given, most people choose them.  Then sometimes they think they are above the server rules because of it.  Well if im so restricted by joining a colored faction where barely anyone is in, why do it?

There HAS to be a rule about attacking unarmed people, because then its no different from wall hacking in fps games.  They have no chance.  How is that fun for them?  Oh wait...you dont care do you...  Well if by some odd chance you have friends, they are probably just as f***ed in the head as you.  I was talking to the griefers by the way...

As for attacking anyone as long as they are armed?  Sure, why not.  Makes it more realistic.  HOWEVER, it would be great if there were a faction or even the neutrals who were dedicated to "fighting the lawless".  But this doesnt happen, because they are too busy joining in.

Safe zones are a great idea.  It allows fairness (a term you griefers dont seem to understand) so other people at least have a chance.  Ive been camped at the town armory before and its not fun when I get pummeled with arrows the second I start to buy something.  The mine should be open however.  Yes, it can be frustrating when you die right as you are about to collect that 5000 bar, but thats what teammates are for.  Use them and if someone on your team needs your help, do it.  Dont join a team if you arent going to act as part of one.

Bandits should be able to do whatever (as long as its not attacking unarmed people), but suffer consequences by those with a sense of justice.  Neutrals, being neutral, should not just randomly be attacking people (with the exception of bandits).  They arent neutral then.  If you want to randomly attack people, be a bandit.  Those in a colored faction should STAY WITH THEIR FACTION UNLESS ORDERED OTHERWISE!  Seriously, when I was "king" of my faction, I couldnt keep track of people because they were all over the place.  How can I coordinate a raid on, say green castle, if half my team is running around?  Dont want to follow orders?  Join the neutrals.  Dont want to follow orders but still want to randomly attack people?  Join bandits.  Now about neutrals being mercenaries.  I think this is fine.  They are still neutral, since they dont have any allegiance but are allowed to at least help people.

Am I whining?  Nope.  The phrase "stop whining!" is getting very old and is annoying.  Not every complaint is whining.  I want the game to be fun for all good natured people and if people are going to be immature about my valid complaints, screw them.  I dont give a crap what people think of me when I complain that someone killed me in a safe zone or I loose all my cash when I die.  I will stand up for what I believe in and as I get older, I learn more and more of what it means to do just that.  I consider anyone who dismisses my suggestions as absolute crap and accuses me of whining as a griefer and quite possiblly still in middle school...or probably should be.

Like I said...if you want no rules, join deathmatch.  Otherwise, its exactly the same and there is no point in playing this mod if all im getting is deathmatch and chaotic team deathmatch.  I dont think thats too unreasonable.  Let us RPers have our fun.  We arent stopping you from having yours, just do it in a place where we are not.

Calling me names?  Come on man, thats a bit childish.  Id say you are likely a young teenager, but ive started to realize a lot of adults are the same way.

the reality is, you, like many others simply cant handle the game. read what i said earlier. killed by bandits? boo hoo. theres no such thing as bad roleplay. theres no law. its every man for himself. dont come crying to us on the forum when bandits kill you left right and centre, its up to you to deal with it. i dont like having to explain this to every little girl who cant handle being killed by bandits, who slags it off as 'bad roleplay' and being unrealistic.

listen lotus dragon, and every other crybaby whos about to post their womanly story of how they got killed by bandits; THERE IS NO LAW. WHEN THERE IS NO LAW, PEOPLE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE, AND KILL YOU. do not cry about it - deal with it. if you cant deal with it, dont play.

this mod aint for girlies, boy. im not gonna say it again. you and every other crybaby BETTER read that.

also, the plazek or whatever his name is went and created some 'city watch', that there is a good example of DEALING WITH IT.

This.

Also, if you have persistent griefers, just get an admin to ban them, most of the current servers have rules against it.

I actually agree with you on getting attacked by bandits.  They are bandits and should do what they will, so long as its not in the safe zone or towards unarmed people.  Im complaining about anyone.  Why is someone who is part of the NEUTRALS randomly attacking people for no reason?  They are the same as bandits then.

Calling things "womanly" or "girly", or people "woman" because they are discussing a legitimate complaint is very immature and a clear indication that you have issues with your own gender.  Im quite well aware of what I am, therefore I dont need to do anything extra manly or insult other people to reassure myself.

The problem is that very few actually do anything.  Sometimes they participate as well.

Short of actually hacking into the game and cheating or INTENSE personal abuse, i can think of no reason that a ban/kick would be necessary in this mod.

also, the plazek or whatever his name is went and created some 'city watch', that there is a good example of DEALING WITH IT.

you can be a mounted man at arms and still be bandit. it matters not what class they choose. if i want to be a bandit and have a good horse and good armour, i will be a mounted man at arms. if i want to be a bandit and assassinate people without being detected, i will be a civilian with a cloak and dagger.

it's not a legitimate complaint. it's actually a womanly complaint. calling you a woman doesn't mean i have issues with my own gender. that's just a classic 'people who call others gay do it to cover up their gayness' saying, which is obviously the dumbest thing anyone could ever say, and not true from a psychological perspective.

also woman, do you want to know the most contradictory thing of all?

i myself am not a bandit.

i kill bandits.

i protect the mines.

i protect people when they're buying weapons.

all the while i do all this knowing that i am a target by bandits, but do i care about them killing me? admittedly, yes, like dying in native, but do i complain about it? no. do i care about them killing people buying weapons or mining? of course not. it's all part of the game. no rules, after all.

please....... don't make me repeat it.
this mod is not for the faint hearted.
this mod is fun for me, in it's present state with bandits everywhere and death around ever corner, because the game is not the master of me.
i am the master of the game.
i look out for myself, always.
i know how to survive.
i know who to trust and who not to trust.

those who complain, don't know how to survive.
if you are finding this game so hard that you can't survive in a world of bandits, then i can teach you.
just ask

Master, eh?  Yeah I knew someone who thought he was unbeatable.  Needless to say, he considered all his deaths unfair because someone would either kill his horse first, attack him from behind, or have a higher ping than him.  Tone the arrogance down.  If thats just a saying, then disregard that...but still keep it in mind.

Well "man", youre darn right its hard to survive with 90% of the people on the server going after you.  Granted, they are also after each other, but still.  It shouldnt be that, though.  Where are the factions?  Where are the coordinated battles and diplomatic advances?  Thats why I became interested in this mod.  Otherwise, once again, if I wanted team deathmatch, ill play native and go on a team deathmatch server.

Some people do help each other out.  Some people do form "police groups".  But thats rare!  I dont see it very often, and its unfortunate.

And about your "that's just a classic 'people who call others gay do it to cover up their gayness'" thing, it does happen.  Some people are bullies because they actually subconsciously feel empty and powerless on the inside.  Just an example.  Its not always the case, but it does certainly happen.

don't tell me to town my arrogance down, lotus woman, the only thing to come out of your mouth that's made sense is

well i just read all of your posts in this thread and i can't find anything that wasn't nonsensical, all of your points are pure crap.

Quote

awwwww, this mod is full of bandits, boo hoo. give it time to develop, give people time to get used to it, and get into it, and then you will see more law abiding people and more groups stopping injustices. you overuse the quote 'if i want ______ ill go and play ______'. mate, this mod is surprisingly a lot like deathmatch in its current state. just because its similar doesnt mean you have to play deathmatch instead of this. there are a lot of differences which you leave out when you say that quote.

you are a CLASSIC case of someone who just can't deal with it. you are weak, you are a slave to this mod, and your first post in this thread demonstrates how badly you suck at this mod. if you sum all your posts up, all you're saying is 'people who kill people without cause = griefers', when really there's NO SUCH THING as a griefer in this mod.

if you can't handle this mod, which clearly you can't handle it in its present state, you SHOULD bugger off to deathmatch. or maybe that's too tough for you too. perhaps you should go and play the tutorial.........

you should stick to the wooden sword. come and play with steel when you are a man.
