Ive noticed something after playing a bit. My calvary and archers go to the infantry group as intended, But when I give a hold this position command to the archers or calvary group the ones that went to my infantry group revert back to their original group and then stay there.

Any idea what causes this and how I can keep dismounted calvary from reverting back to calvary group?.

Once they switch to my infantry I want them to stay there.

Im using this is prophecy of pendor 3.3 and their is formations enabled. Would that casue these problems with the code?

I hadn't experienced this myself until today. It appears to happen as you say--after giving an order to the original division, those who were changed revert back to that original division.

Once they switch to my infantry I want them to stay there.

It certainly could as I'm not sure what wizardry Treebeard has done with the battle coding with Vicky, but if it this is working as you say, then PoP isn't interfering...it's something stupid with what the game engine is doing.

It would appear this will need to be re-coded to take the above into account. Blast.

EDIT Found a fix. Will upload tomorrow.

Sorry about the thread necromancy, but I think this fits here.

has anybody got the archer mod to work in Prophesy of Pendor 3.42? I have tried, and failed. If somebody would like to shear the text file changes it would be appreciated.

It's there as well. But I added it here in case somebody who is tech-savy and no longer plays the Mod stumbled upon my question and thought it was an easy fix. A little redundency isn't a big crime, is it?
