What version warband are you running? What version of diplomacy? (I know these are the simple questions but they haven't been asked or told.)

True.
Warband version 1.143
Diplomacy version 4.1

Well I have no idea because those are both the newest versions that are supposed to work together.

Edit: Just went and looked and you should probably try installing diplomacy 4.2.
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.... and keep your frenemies as well-paid lackeys so that they're within easy reach for execution when they inevitably turn on you.

Hi, I don't know if I am posting this on the right thread but I have encountered a problem while i am playing Freelancer mod for the newest version of warband.  The problem seems to happen everytime I enter a siege battle, when I follow my lord's army into a siege defence there is a option stating I can talk to the besieger's commander.  After I do or even if I don't, I auto join the besiegers and help them fight my own guys ( my lord's army in this case).  And even if I manage to win, I get captured as a prisoner because our army lost the siege defence.  So is there anything that can fix this problem? thank you.
If you want the real secret to happiness, it is to find a woman that can cook, can clean, and is a freak in bed. And most important of all, make sure these 3 women never ever meet...

Take this to the Freelancer board.

Well, didn't work. Updated but still the same. Damn...

I should probably ask in Diplomacy's FAQ, although I'm not sure if this is a Diplomacy issue.

It most likely is if everything was working fine before you started using Diplo.

Hi, I have a question.

If you marry, does it matter at all, who you marry? (Except which poems she likes and what the father says, just after you are married)

Caba's right, but you should look at who their family is too as you will get a relation boost with her family members. The bigger the family the better.

Do the AI lords benefit from having party based skills? Do the lords have unique skills at all?

I made Baheshtur and Rolf a vassal to me. They both had fairly high trainer skills, among other things. Will their armies be at all affected by this?
Powerful, Belligerent, and a proud commander of all-archer armies.

They benefit from trainer, leadership, and pathfinding skills for sure.
Prisoner and inventory management definitely do NOT matter.

Others are more up in the air.

Awesome. Is there a default of what skills/attributes all the lords have? I imagine it's an equal distribution. Though while taking them prisoner I've noticed a lot have the (+) level up icon by their names.

The lords have their attributes and skills from these 5 sets of options
Code: (module_troops) [Select]
knight_attrib_1 = str_15|agi_14|int_8|cha_16|level(22)
knight_attrib_2 = str_16|agi_16|int_10|cha_18|level(26)
knight_attrib_3 = str_18|agi_17|int_12|cha_20|level(30)
knight_attrib_4 = str_19|agi_19|int_13|cha_22|level(35)
knight_attrib_5 = str_20|agi_20|int_15|cha_25|level(41)
knight_skills_1 = knows_riding_3|knows_ironflesh_2|knows_power_strike_3|knows_athletics_1|knows_tactics_2|knows_prisoner_management_1|knows_leadership_3
knight_skills_2 = knows_riding_4|knows_ironflesh_3|knows_power_strike_4|knows_athletics_2|knows_tactics_3|knows_prisoner_management_2|knows_leadership_5
knight_skills_3 = knows_riding_5|knows_ironflesh_4|knows_power_strike_5|knows_athletics_3|knows_tactics_4|knows_prisoner_management_2|knows_leadership_6
knight_skills_4 = knows_riding_6|knows_ironflesh_5|knows_power_strike_6|knows_athletics_4|knows_tactics_5|knows_prisoner_management_3|knows_leadership_7
knight_skills_5 = knows_riding_7|knows_ironflesh_6|knows_power_strike_7|knows_athletics_5|knows_tactics_6|knows_prisoner_management_3|knows_leadership_9
Kings and the top lords (for Swadia, e.g. Klargus, Haringoth, Delinard, and Clais) have set #5, and the weaker lords have the lower numbered sets.

Though while taking them prisoner I've noticed a lot have the (+) level up icon by their names.
Aye. NPC lords gain experience, but have no way of levelling up...so they constantly sit waiting to level.

I dont want make new thread, so i ask here.
I read that always when new game start, lords family and personality is customized. But are something exceptions? Whether in each fraction are 3-4 main lords who have unchanging personality? Example in  each of my 4 another saved games Lord haringoth seems have same coldblooded character, and only thing that changed is family members.

By the way, i wish make some of that lord as marshall, but which is the best choice. Renown has an any impact on the behavior of the marshall? In my main game i put Lord Haringoth as marshall because he is liitle arrogant and agresive and i wonder taht can bring benefits durning war.

how lords(player's vassals) decide if they want to follow marshal(appointed by player) or not?
