I have a problem. I followed your guide precisely, and my dedicated servers were working fine. However, after a few days or so, my dedicated server suddenly decided not to work anymore. It doesn't show up under Internet, only in Local Area Network. Anyone had same problem?

You IP Address didnt happen to change by any chance, making your port forward to a different number? That would be my main suggestion

Aye, you probably didn't set a static IP on the server.

I've been trying to set up a dedicated server for some days now. I can't get it to show in the server list no matter what I do. I've forwarded ports 7240-7243 from my router and from the firewall, but it doesn't help. When I push Battle_Time_start.bat it runs a thing in the cmd prompt window. When I browse the window there is a line saying: "WARNING: UNABLE TO MAP GAME SCIPT CODE: game_check_party_sees_party" and another one saying "WARNING: UNABLE TO MAP GAME SCIPT CODE: game_get_party_speed_multiplier".

Can anybody help?

You should also know that I'm unable to host even a normal game. I can't get it to show in the server list.

Those two errors were in the text on the dedicated server for Battle Time I ran last night.  They do not inhibit people from seeing or joining the server.

Most of these problems are from the port forwarding not done correctly.  The only other options are that you have you server filter set so that it does not show an empty server/module type.

Start with just hosting a native server by adding it to the official list.  If you can do that, you can get the dedicated working.  Recheck your ports.  If the ports are done correctly everything else is a breeze.  Make sure you have a static IP set on your computer and that is the IP you are using in your router as well.  Try forwarding just port 7240 to start with.  Make sure the name of the server is what you are looking for.  Start basic and then work your way up.

All steps provided in this guide are 100% correct.  Following them perfectly produces predictable results.

I swear I've completed all the steps as meticulously as possible.

Here are some photos of my router settings. Are they OK?

Is 192.168.11.3 a static IP and where did you get that from?

Its from "cmd: ipconfig /all". To obatain static IP I put that value manually to the local are connection TCP/IPv4 properties following the instructions in these sites: http://portforward.com/networking/static-win7.htm, http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Buffalo/WHR-G125/default.htm

I've now pinpointed the problem to the rooter. I connected the ethernet cable straight to the wall and it worked, I could a host a server so that it appears in the list. However I need the router to provide internet access to all of my computers and I have only one wall socket for ethernet. So the problem still needs to be solved, so that I can play the Battle Time mod with my two computers with my friend.

Thanks already for your help Mad Dawg.

So you need to open the ports.  Once the ports are open and your computer has a static IP, and assuming the stuff is configured correctly in the server files.  It will work.

Aye, but I can't see if the computer has a static IP from those.

The only thing I can recommend at this point is delete those, set a differnt IP such as 192.168.0.100 and reset everything up.  Restart your router after you make the changes and save it.  If the server is seen without the router but dissappears with the router the problem must be in the router/router setup.
