raising huge amount of cash!

I just agreed to marry a fair maiden, but I no where near the 15k dowry needed to marry her. Whats the best way to raise that kinda cash fast? I only have 20 days left to finish quest

I'd say a combinatio of searaiders plus a couple of tounaments. Althoguh you might be a little tight with time, and some luck with finding tournaments would help. I say you can raise it with sea raiders alone, their loot sells pretty well. Having increased invetory space and party skills like looting and trading might make the difference.

Well it COULD sometimes be the other way around if a man married into a family above his own standard. You do after all pay to become part of the nobility. Consider it a fee to get a minor claim on royalty .

Tournaments, and trade. Killing bandits is way too slow to make cash.

As for trade, go doing some little search by yourself on this forum, there is some very interessting information about trade written by myself and some other fellow traders.

Beware with trade: once you will start trading in this game, you gonna be addicted to it since it is the most reliable source of cash, leaving you with no room for those nearly worthless loots, so better have good inventory management skill

ie: with the iron trade, i can make with only 5 iron bar (so 5 slots) the same amount i would make by reselling my full inventory of bandit loots, on days they have decent stuff on them...

Trade stuff. Buy iron in Curaw and sell it in Reyvadin, spice and salt in Tulga, sell in Ichamur

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll give trading a go, it sucks that I am at war with the vaegirs so I can't trade the iron. Where are the sea raiders? Nord lands where they were in original m&b? What happens if i fail the quest, will I still be able to
marry her?

Her father is gonna give me 8k when we marry.........to bad I can't just raise 7k and call it even lol

A village gives easily 5k+ per loot... that's if you don't mind pissing people off.

Why trade iron with the vaegirs? Sargoth and tihir buy iron as well. Trade from Dhirim to Sargoth and you'll make a fortune

Agreed. Trading is the best way to make money. With M&B, I used to make cash by raiding and looting. With Warband, I realised that it was a bad thing to do, considering the new political system. So I tried my hand in trading. It was difficult at first, especially trawling around with stacks of iron which make one susceptible to interception. However, after a few runs, I was soon running with a bodyguard and full inventories. I am now playing comfortably with over 100k denar spare...

Cool, I learned late in the game (level 20ish) that trading was very necessary, otherwise i was hunting sea raiders constantly, doing bandit lairs and doing tournaments, i'd always be in the black with 10k or so, but now with over 200 men to support, i need all the help I can get!

I believe the 8k he contributes goes to your wife's fund. You don't get it.
