Before I go to sleep by S.J. Watson. Fitting for this time of day. x)

Read about it on one of my train trips somewhere in the magnifcient Deutsche Bahn Journal or whatever it's called, considered buying it for christmas and only now got around to it. Almost halfway through, woo captivating.

Calvin and Hobbes. All of them.
Brings me back to childhood it does.

Having nearly no time to read any non-academic books atm, I restrict myself to slowly digesting the Malazan Book of the Fallen.

Read about it on one of my train trips somewhere in the magnifcient Deutsche Bahn Journal or whatever it's called,
DB mobil officially.

A Dance of Dragons.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Lost Fleet! Yes! Thank you!
Geez, I couldn't remember what the series was called. For weeks I was planning on getting the books but simply couldn't get the bloody name right.

Again, thanks >.>

Black Jack's a badass. Also, the author actually writes a series called "JAG in Space" - which should win an award for cheesiest book title ever.
Frank, do you know what a hero is? Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, he's somebody who's tired enough and cold enough and hungry enough not to give a damn. I don't give a damn.

Just finished Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. Started to watch the series made based on it, and got angry because it was typical over-acted over-dramatical bullshit. The book was very good, though :P

Reading through the Pillars of the Earth.

I read the sequel, "World Without End" recently, a pair of really good books, those two.

I haven't read any books in too long. Now everything I get my hands on is so captivating that I sleep far too late every night.

Wanting to read Lovecraft without getting several books. Buy or no buy? Suggestions?
(click to show/hide)
Barnes&Noble has its tome (truly complete) too, but I could only find paperback in my region, and that's a no go and avoidable.

I own it, great book for the cost.

Lovecraft is the man.

You can also buy the companion book Eldritch Tales: A Miscellany of the Macabre  which is a collection of poems, sonnets, unreleased short stories, etc.

I'm going for the other one first, since it's US$46 at the only local place that's selling it.

Going to read View From the Imperium again. I don't remember if I finished or even started before, or what it's about, but the cover art looks hilarious.

Amazon sells it for 20 bucks.
