Steam activation for Warband?

Hi, we can activate the Mount and Blade on Steam with retail serial numbers. Same thing will happen for Warband too? I want to buy the game retail and activate it on Steam. Thank you for answers...

Not certain about Steam however this was the case if you purchased retail (in a store) and activation on TW web site for vanilla M&B

Im also hoping this to be the case, as I would like to buy online on the TW website, but be able to have it on steam for easy access and downloads for when Im else where.

Well.  if you bought M&B from Steam you can download and play Warband right now.  The beta anyways.
Steam the activating. No codes to be entered.
EDIT: oops sorry I my mind did not properly comprehend what you posted.
You can do that with any game that is also on steam so I dont see any reason why it cannot be done with this one.

Well, I think people just like the fact that all of steam's games are digital downloads...however is the one through Taleworlds a digital download as well? Cause, if so, then I agree, there is no point of going through steam.

If you really want to use steam, then add it afterwards as a "non-steam game"
However it won't be able to self-update, not sure about joining friends games though

Anyway I got my answer on Turkish forums. We can activate the Warband on Steam too with retail serial numbers or serial numbers from Talewords' store. So I am buying Turkish retail version, because it is cheaper than Steam and other retail stores.

Taleworlds, Direct2Drive, Gamers Gate all offer digital downloads. AFAIK the only place you could get a boxed version outside of retail is from an online store like Amazon.
