Reverting to old companion recruitment system?

Was wondering if there was anyway I could mod/revert back to the old companion system? Where you would meet companions in taverns etc. I just like the roaming companions more then buying from a list.

Alternatively I was wanting to know if there is a way too expand that list to add more companions?

Ask in the forge, use google... and I think that’s a bad idea, unnecessary for this mod.
