Prisoners disappearing???

OK so I put 19 prisoners in my castle, I have a garrison of about 90, now over 120. Next I checked there are only 13, now 12? I don't remember this happening in Native, so what I need a million guards? How can anyone run away from a prison? It's not modern times they were sitting and not allowed to go anywhere and where would you run from a castle full of soldiers?

Prisoners escape. It's part of native too, I am 99% positive. The point of building a Prison (or whatever it's called) in a town is to reduce the chance that prisoners escape.

didn't happen to me in Native on such a scale,maybe 1 out of a hundred,  this is too drastic 1/3 escape within a week??

Also how do you appoint your wife a chamberlain? I see no option for that when I fire the old one she suggests the old guy,
