Well yes my computer says that i have speed: 54 mbps(megabites per second)
But i can only download files at maximum 118 kbps

I don't get it- you'll still be limited by the server, so whats the big deal?

I went to the first result for "internet connection speed test" on Google, and did four tests - one at the local server, and three at the other three corners of the globe. On average, it was approximately 2.5Mb/S download, with an upload of .7Mb/s at the home server to around .5Mb/s anywhere else.

Less than I thought, but I suppose it's decent considering I'm in Slorth America.

I just tested it and this is what I got:
Ping: 35 ms
Download: 21173 kb
Upload: 2909 kb

So roughly 21 mb download speed and almost 3 mb upload speed.
Looks like my connection is pretty good.
