Open Crashing in Linux - veyr random - read and tried eveyrthing I could find

Trying to run this game under linux, and i keep crashing, regardless what settings I change - crashes happen in menus, in scenes switches, it appears to be completely random.

I have a HD4000 graphics (onboard), 16gig ram debian linux laptop. Vanilla game runs 100% Fine no issues, but i can't seem to run viking, even if i turn everything off.

As you can see ive turned everything off here so im really quite stumped. Any help is appreciated. Running GOG latest version of WB and VC. no additional mods.

I've spent a few hours reading here, tried force single thread 0 and 1, tried autoload textures (ondemand) 0 and 1, nothing seems to help. I have also tried disabling all sounds/music to see if that was the issue, without change.
