My last night of freedom for a long time. The vodka shall flow clear, the music shall play loud, and I shall put Dionysus to shame in a glorious night of excess.
Yeah, we're both aware of how difficult communication will be. That's why she thinks that she can't do it. But I just really don't want this to be the end of what we have together. I've been there for her through all the **** she's been through these past few months, and I really want to try to make this work for both of us.
I don't know, maybe it's my fault for becoming too attached to someone

Use your time at basic as a trial period to see whether you guys can cope with being away and out of touch.
How easy is it to maintain a relationship while serving in the military?
I'm off to Kapooka for basic training(Australian Army) in just over a week. I'm pretty keen to go, but there's one thing that's got me worried. I currently have a thing with this girl. While we're technically not in an official relationship yet, we might as well be as we're really close to each other.
The only thing preventing things going any further is that she feels she won't be able to cope with me being away for such long periods of time, and therefore doesn't want us getting closer.
Here's another one of my atrocities against the laws of perspective!

Recently I obtained the game Europa Universalis III, and I've been playing mostly as Balkan nations, particulary Wallachia. And, as Voivode (Duke) of Valachia I get offered Royal Marriages with the Byzantines, other Greeks and Trebizonites all the time; apparently they have nothing better to do than sending their princes and princesses to the Balkan Principalities' courts to marry them off to power-hungry Voivods like me
So, here I drawed my Romanian Duke (his portrayal being based on the appearance of a certain infamous Valachian Voivode) at his court, flanked by two cavalrymen guards and an advisor of some kind, receiving a Byzantine or Trebizonite Princess.
This drawing should not be relied upon for historical accuracy, because I drawed all Romanians from memory (memories of watching Communist-era Romanian movies) and the Byzantine loosely based on various references. Still had lots of fun drawing this.
