Name: Marcel Vincent, Marquis de Beaune
Nationality: French
Appearance: Uniform of a Russian Hussar (or other cavalryman. Something showy and dramatic). Fair-skinned with dark hair and a moustache. Has a very large, beak-like nose, and is highly conscious of it.
Description: A self-styled nobleman who fled France during the Revolution, Marcel claims to have lived in Great Britain, the United States, and Russia before finding service with the Tsar's army as a captain of Hussars. Whether or not these claims are true is unknown, just as it is impossible to prove his constant assertions that French agents are after his head on orders from the Emperor himself (although the reasons for this pursuit change a little each time he tells them, and range from smuggling to espionage to a love affair with the wife of one of Napoleon's relatives). Marcel is never one to belittle his own achievements, and likes to tell a good story; preferably one with lots of romance, dueling, and valiant deeds preformed by none other than himself.
What is apparent is that, even if the French are truly after him, their efforts to hunt him down are consistently put to shame by those of Marcel's creditors. Forced to flee Russia to escape them, he now wanders the great cities of Europe and would look kindly on any commander who could offer him some decent pay and a means of changing his financial woes--provided he's looked after in accordance with his station. Whatever his origins, he's a dashing swordsman (albeit quite mad).
