Most people are more interested in making a mod that will allow them to play in a setting they would not ordinarily be able to play in. Others like to make mods that push the envelope of what the game can do. And some like to make mods that they hope will improve upon an earlier game. However, very few people want to make mods that copy existing games, especially when they cannot hope to even equal them.... A WOW mod would not be as good as playing WOW, just like an Oblivion mod could never be as good as Oblivion itself. A Civ4 and Monopoly mod would likewise be inferior to the original, as well as being impossible to make (but that's a different issue). If you want a WOW-themed mod, rather than some sort of M&B adaptation, that's something else. But, as it is, people are pretty busy creating new worlds (or adapting existing ones to a computer game environment), so I don't imagine anyone would be too enthused about making a WOW-themed mod. Especially since there are so many more original ideas flying around right now.
